Reviews
I visited the Ine Funeya first and stay at this hotel. By the way, worth a visit to the funeya which is pretty unique.
The drive from Ine is about 11 mins and hotel is situated on the side of the coast, having a view of the East Japan Sea. I stayed in their biggest room and it came with a gorgeous sitting terrace and private open air onsen.
The view is one of the best I have seen for an Onsen Ryokan. Their room was updated and is clean, with good set of amenity. The public onsen is a bit on the small side but still pretty decent.
Food is great as always, and featured fish and seafood around the area. I have had my fair amount of Ryokan experience but the fishes we got are simply amazing. Tai shabu shabu is great and the added grilled hamachi was top notch. And the thing they use to cook tofu (shown in photo) seems to belong to a Gibili animation.
As a side note, I believe they have an origami master in house. There are so many cute origami displayed though out my stay.
Overall I am impressed and would highly recommend.
The service was excellent, the food was delicious and filling, and there was nothing to complain about.
I thought we'd wait in the car, but they prepared it early and we checked in.
The hot spring...the thick, creamy water made my skin so smooth ^-^
And above all, the food...I was so satisfied, both in the evening and in the morning. I was amazed at how much food there was!
Dinner...fresh fish, meat, white rice. Homemade tsukudani (simmered food in soy sauce), etc.
Everything was delicious, and we even made rice balls with the rice we'd cooked with the tuna.
Breakfast: overnight dried fish, miso soup with fish bones, pickles, tsukudani (simmered food in soy sauce).
Rice...the food was amazing!
The staff were so kind, I'll definitely return. This is a place you definitely should visit!
