This is a homestay style accommodation ran by an elderly couple, they cannot speak English but tried their very best! Heartfelt service here, from serving welcome snack to teaching us how to use the bath seaweed soak. Not to mention the awesome view. Only downside is that it is a 15 to 20 mins walk from the Amanohashidate station might be tough if you are not driving there.

Every dish was packed with attention to detail and meticulous technique, and it was the most delicious food I've ever had at this inn. The ingredients were also explained to me in detail.
I can't wait for my next visit.

I made a reservation after reading reviews and looking at photos. I then trusted my intuition and stayed for two nights. Our children are married and have left home, so my husband and I wanted to relax and enjoy ourselves. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and we were very satisfied. We learned that the owners used to run a traditional inn, and the charming, tasteful tableware was lovely. The owners shared their passion for ingredients and history, and we enjoyed hearing about their love for the local area. I mentioned that my husband likes mackerel sushi, and they went to the trouble of serving it with our meal – a wonderful gesture that we were deeply touched by.

Although the bath wasn't a hot spring, we thoroughly enjoyed the bath filled with plenty of yuzu and akamoku seaweed. We were very satisfied. The morning and evening views of the sea and Amanohashidate from the window were magnificent. The couple who run the inn were wonderful, and their hospitality was superb. Thank you for a wonderful time.

This is a lovely inn that is clean and has a warm, inviting atmosphere thanks to the use of wood. The couple who run it were very kind and provided excellent service.

However, the food, which I had high expectations for as an auberge, was unfortunately too salty overall, lacking the savory flavor of the broth. While expensive ingredients were used in various ways, for example, the matsutake mushroom soup contained Niwa beef and fish, resulting in dry meat and almost no matsutake aroma... it was simply disappointing.

I feel bad giving such a harsh review, but since this hotel used to cost 40,000 yen per night before the GoTo campaign, I've given it 3 stars with the hope that it will improve in the future.
