It was great for a short stay of 2-3 days but would be challenging for a longer stay as it does not have self-service laundry. It was inconvenient to drive 10 minutes to a laundry shop. The hotel facilities are very new, and the design is clean and refreshing. The location is a bit secluded, but they offer a shuttle bus service.

Extremely satisfied! The room discount was fantastic. The location is convenient, the room is spacious, and the facilities are complete, including a laundry room, a bathhouse, and complimentary capsule coffee.

It is a very good location ..near nara park ..just 10 mins drive ..you can reach there …there is a family mark nearby …but ..if you wanna park the car ..you check carefully where is the car park ..it is not free but the price is very reasonable..24 hours just 900yen …the hotel located at the 3 floor …so ..if you don’t realise where is the car park ..you have to go 3 floor asking the reception then...

Although the hotel is a bit old, it's very well-maintained. The location is excellent, right outside the JR station, making it super convenient to go feed the deer at Nara Park. I'd definitely recommend it and will choose to stay here again next time.

Beautiful lobby， but ugly ceiling. need renovation

Hotel is quite dated, onsen is crowded as it opens to public as well. Only good is that you do not need to pay for onsen tax should you decide not to go onsen.

The hotel is quite old, and my room on a low floor felt a bit dim. The hotel's attached hot spring was pretty good, with three pools and a dry sauna. Parking at the hotel costs 500 RMB.

Every aspect was perfect. Top service and best staff, plus generous breakfast. Highly recommended!

Pretty good, but a bit far from Nara Park.

Everything was excellent! This is our second visit this year, and the hot spring pools were fantastic as well.

Kamenoi Hotel Nara

The service, hospitality, facility, and overall experience was great for the price! The seasonal meat dinner was a little disappointing, but the breakfast buffet was satisfactory. The highlight of my stay was the public and private open air onsen.

The shuttle bus made it easy to get to the hotel. The hot springs were comfortable and the dinner was delicious. There were no slippers in the room, so I contacted them and they brought them right to my room. I only stayed one night, but I had a relaxing time.

The hotel is within walking distance of Kintetsu Yamato-Saidaiji Station and is also in a great location, just 3-4 minutes from Heijo Ruins Park. It's also perfectly located for soaking in hot springs, which are extremely rare in Nara City. The downside is that the facilities are old, and there are issues with facility management and maintenance, such as room and bathroom locks not locking in some...

I stayed here with my parents and for a dinner party after the shrine visit. The food was delicious, and the interior is very clean after the renovation. The staff were also kind and we had a comfortable stay. It would have been very helpful if there was a shuttle bus on the way back.

The staff are fabulous, very attentive and customer focused. We had an outdoor private bath which was wonderful and highly recommended. Our one complaint is the beds (futon) they were very thin and hard. We did not sleep well.

This was such a unique experience. I enjoyed my stay and LOVED the in-room onsen tub. I only wish there was a larger safe in the room. It was on the smaller side, so I couldn’t fit my laptop in it.

The hotel is a little far from the JR station and requires a bus, but it is within walking distance to Kintetsu Nara Station. The location is right next to Todaiji Temple, and it is very convenient to Nara Park and other attractions. This ryokan was amazing, the food the location the atmosphere. The public sento in the building was beautiful and the private tub in our room was amazing as well. Perfect service, great amenities, we even got a little gift! I can only recommend this place if you're looking for something truly special. Get the dinner and breakfast here, trust me!!!

The hotel is a bit far from the subway station. It will be difficult to drag suitcases because there are slopes. I stayed in room 303 with an open-air hot spring. Really loved the distinctive atmosphere of this hotel. The rooms and grounds have a calm, serene feel. It was modern in comfort but with a beautifully integrated rustic Japanese influence, from the décor to the landscaping. A rare combination that works effortlessly. This former sake brewery exudes charm! Our room had its own view of a private garden, nightingale floors (to prevent ninjas sneaking in?), a hinoki ofuro, a tatami room.

Lovely small hotel. Our room was more like a 2-room suite, including a little shrine space. Comfortable. Staff excellent. During our stay they were trimming the trees and shrubs in the garden for that refined Japanese look. Multi-course Japanese breakfasts and dinners. Delectable!

What a place! It's in a world heritage site. Our uber took us right to the door. But we walked into the deer park and shrines. We had the full Japanese experience with traditional dinner served in our room and breakfast. Lots of fish. We had a bigger than a king thick mattress in the bedroom. Just had a 2 nights stay and we absolutely loved it It is in a very secluded little valley in the park itself and everything feels very remote quiet and peaceful even though all the tourist hustle and bustle is only a 5 minute walk away The place itself feels quite new and very “japandic” (a mix between Japan and Scandinavian)… The food was amazing… The staff speak a bit of english but what they perhaps...

A beautiful spot in the forest, although just a bit far from the sights in Nara. The staff was lovely and the room quite comfortable, by Western standards for a Japanese room (although the futons were by far the hardest and most uncomfortable of the three ryokans we visited).
