It was great for a short stay of 2-3 days but would be challenging for a longer stay as it does not have self-service laundry. It was inconvenient to drive 10 minutes to a laundry shop. The hotel facilities are very new, and the design is clean and refreshing. The location is a bit secluded, but they offer a shuttle bus service.

It is a very good location ..near nara park ..just 10 mins drive ..you can reach there …there is a family mark nearby …but ..if you wanna park the car ..you check carefully where is the car park ..it is not free but the price is very reasonable..24 hours just 900yen …the hotel located at the 3 floor …so ..if you don’t realise where is the car park ..you have to go 3 floor asking the reception then...

Although the hotel is a bit old, it's very well-maintained. The location is excellent, right outside the JR station, making it super convenient to go feed the deer at Nara Park. I'd definitely recommend it and will choose to stay here again next time.

Beautiful lobby， but ugly ceiling. need renovation

Hotel is quite dated, onsen is crowded as it opens to public as well. Only good is that you do not need to pay for onsen tax should you decide not to go onsen.

The hotel is quite old, and my room on a low floor felt a bit dim. The hotel's attached hot spring was pretty good, with three pools and a dry sauna. Parking at the hotel costs 500 RMB.

Every aspect was perfect. Top service and best staff, plus generous breakfast. Highly recommended!

Pretty good, but a bit far from Nara Park.

Everything was excellent! This is our second visit this year, and the hot spring pools were fantastic as well.

Kamenoi Hotel Nara

The service, hospitality, facility, and overall experience was great for the price! The seasonal meat dinner was a little disappointing, but the breakfast buffet was satisfactory. The highlight of my stay was the public and private open air onsen.

The shuttle bus made it easy to get to the hotel. The hot springs were comfortable and the dinner was delicious. There were no slippers in the room, so I contacted them and they brought them right to my room. I only stayed one night, but I had a relaxing time.

The hotel is within walking distance of Kintetsu Yamato-Saidaiji Station and is also in a great location, just 3-4 minutes from Heijo Ruins Park. It's also perfectly located for soaking in hot springs, which are extremely rare in Nara City. The downside is that the facilities are old, and there are issues with facility management and maintenance, such as room and bathroom locks not locking in some...

I stayed here with my parents and for a dinner party after the shrine visit. The food was delicious, and the interior is very clean after the renovation. The staff were also kind and we had a comfortable stay. It would have been very helpful if there was a shuttle bus on the way back.

The room is quite big, and there is a small balcony where you can go out and get some fresh air. The chickens in the yard downstairs are sleek and shiny. They said there were four chickens, but I only saw three. The rice balls for breakfast are OK, freshly made by hand. It is within walking distance of Kintetsu Nara Station.

This hotel has absolutely impeccable service. The staff is very attentive. The rooms are not large but comfortable and neatly appointed. The location at the corner of Nara park is also a great asset. Definitely a great location from which to explore ancient Nara.

The Noborioji Hotel in Nara was amazing. The staff were extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. The food was exquisite. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and nice. The bathtub was nice, but the shower is easily my favorite showing experiences in all my 46 years so far. I felt like I had been massaged and stream cleaned when I was done. What an experience.

What a place! It's in a world heritage site. Our uber took us right to the door. But we walked into the deer park and shrines. A beautiful spot in the forest, although just a bit far from the sights in Nara. The staff was lovely and the room quite comfortable, by Western standards for a Japanese room (although the futons were by far the hardest and most uncomfortable of the three ryokans we visited). Really loved the distinctive atmosphere of this hotel. The rooms and grounds have a calm, serene feel. It was modern in comfort but with a beautifully integrated rustic Japanese influence, from the décor to the landscaping. A rare combination that works effortlessly. I would absolutely stay here again.

This former sake brewery exudes charm! Our room had its own view of a private garden, nightingale floors (to prevent ninjas sneaking in?), a hinoki ofuro, a tatami room.

Just a lovely experience. The room size was very generous, easily big enough for a family of four with space to spare. The staff were helpful and attentive. The ryokan is clean and quiet, and the location is perfect. The onsen experience was great, particularly the outdoor bath with views of the pagoda. The price was very reasonable for the quality. Absolutely loved it, would stay again.

Wow. If you want a proper Japanese experience (as a gaijin) then this is hard to beat. Indoor and outdoor onsen, wonderful 8 course Japanese dinner, extensive breakfast, clean rooms, excellent friendly service from all employees....plus ideal location for all the major sites and right by the park. Highly recommended.

A bit overpriced for what it is. The rooms are not big, but the design makes up the missing piece. The onsens, well, I say hot tap water because of the smell, are way too small, esp with the indoor onsen, although the outdoor onsen has great view on the pagoda of Kofukuji. Only tasted the breakfast, twice though, let’s say not satisfied. Service OK-ish.

Excellent hotel and staff. As a first time tourist I would recommend everyone to experience the magical feelings of Nara from this traditional place. Got to feel it to know the meaningfulness of the moments.
