Really loved the distinctive atmosphere of this hotel. The rooms and grounds have a calm, serene feel. It was modern in comfort but with a beautifully integrated rustic Japanese influence, from the décor to the landscaping. A rare combination that works effortlessly. I would absolutely stay here again.

This former sake brewery exudes charm! Our room had its own view of a private garden, nightingale floors (to prevent ninjas sneaking in?), a hinoki ofuro, a tatami room.

Lovely small hotel. Our room was more like a 2-room suite, including a little shrine space. Comfortable. Staff excellent. During our stay they were trimming the trees and shrubs in the garden for that refined Japanese look. Multi-course Japanese breakfasts and dinners. Delectable!

The room was beautiful. This hotel is in walking distance of the train station and of Nara Park. Thank you also for adjusting the time of breakfast on one day so I could catch my train. The food at ghe attached restaurant was perfect too.

It feels like you are in the countryside…but a covered shopping street is only a five minute walk away.
Spacious accommodations, excellent staff; great food, a truly wonderful place.
Would return in an instant.

What an amazing place. We arrived jet lagged from the us but they have taken care of every need. The room is warm and cozy with a wonderful tub and amenities. The breakfasts are delicious. We ate one night at the restaurant - Le un - and it was delightful. One of our best meals ever. The staff are friendly and helpful arranging sightseeing. The inn is conveniently near the train station and Nara park and shops. We highly recommend this hotel. Enjoy beautiful Nara.

This is a truly lovely authentic Japanese style hotel with lots of charm and a great experience. The rooms are classic with tatami mats and Japanese style bathroom, cedar tub etc. rooms are very spacious for Japan Restaurant on site is very good with choice of western or Jp for breakfast. Staff are lovely and English language communication is no problem at all. Quiet location in a nice part of town. Two thumbs way up

Service was great but the open kitchen and room definitely need deep clean 😅

Kitchen - quite dirty and not organized. Heavy dust on top. Not to mention it’s an open kitchen where we had both breakfast and dinner there. The kitchen hygiene definitely not meet a hotel standard at this rate, even a normal izakaya is more clean than that.

Room - we stayed at room 107. The room itself is nice, except all the mold in the bathroom and extremely dusty in the balcony that we could not use. Noisy in the morning when the trucks/cars pass by. There are lights outside the room, they keep them on even at night and mid night. If you are sensitive to light while sleeping, suggest you to think twice.

¥91068/night + ¥5553 sake , including breakfast and dinner for two persons

Like other reviews mentioned, the service was service. But the room and meals definitely not worth the price.

Very simple and nice accommodations….A super wow experience at the restaurant for dinner! Best of our trip….innovative and superb preparation by a very young staff. Attention to detail x 100!! Lots of kind interactions with same young staff. Very friendly. Would return in a heartbeat…
