Nikko Nara Hotel, Nara1 / 25

Nara, 8-1 Sanjo-hommachi (in the centre) 🧭 Map
I stayed at Hotel Nikko Nara in July 2025. While the room was clean and check-in smooth, I discovered a major hygiene issue with the in-room Nespresso machine. When I ran water through it, black fungus and brown contaminated water came out. It took over 30 rinse cycles to clean, and even then, debris remained. I spent over an hour handling this on my own. I reported the issue in person to the manager...
Great location just next to JR Nara station Got a supermarket and drugstore downstairs Bus terminal to every tourist spots
Everything was so good! Room was clean, restaurant was good, and staff were so kind! Overall, excellent!
The best hotel in Nara I have been before so convenient and close to subway and train the best!
The hotel was a bit dated, but the staff were marvelous; impeccable service. The welcome drinks were a pleasant surprise. I was surprised that rooms did not supply hand/body lotion, and a bit disappointed that more attention was not put on sustainable use products. The hotel had perfect access to needed services, despite being more removed from Nara's main core. For the price point, breakfast ought...
I like everything except that the bathroom is old equipment.

Perfect location close to Nara Park, friendly staff.
The location is top tier. Absolutely in the center, next to all attractions and near the subway line. Its perfekt for a beautiful stay in Nara
Great location, I like the TV equipment, which can project the screen of the mobile phone to the TV.
Huge room and a huge King size bed with big clear glasses overlooking the park where we could see deers eating grass. Hospitality was great. We had dinner and breakfast which was modified to our needs and wishes - vegetarian. Explanation of all amenities was done with welcome drink. Staff came to Kintetsu Nara station to welcome us to their hotel. Indian flag was specially hosted as we were the guests...
This hotel has absolutely impeccable service. The staff is very attentive. The rooms are not large but comfortable and neatly appointed. The location at the corner of Nara park is also a great asset. Definitely a great location from which to explore ancient Nara.
The Noborioji Hotel in Nara was amazing. The staff were extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. The food was exquisite. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and nice. The bathtub was nice, but the shower is easily my favorite showing experiences in all my 46 years so far. I felt like I had been massaged and stream cleaned when I was done. What an experience.

It's right next to the station, quiet and nice.
It was close to the station and easy to access. There was a wide variety of rice balls for breakfast, and they were all delicious.
The room was very clean. It was close to the station and in a good location. The fact that the bathroom was clean was a big plus.
Hotel visible from the train station which is only 3 mins walk away. Good standard of Toyoko inn. Breakfast is served up to 9am only though.
The hotel's location was excellent, with supermarkets, karaoke, restaurants, and convenience stores all within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. Amenities were available at the front desk, so you only needed to bring what you needed. Breakfast included a variety of homemade rice balls (individually wrapped), soups, salads, bread, and more, all of which were delicious. The front...
Located next to Shin Omiya train station, which turned out to be not very convenient for visiting Nara. At the same time, the number of trains and electric trains that pass through this station is large. The guys at the reception are very nice, quickly checked in, and tried to explain, with the help of a map, where the main attractions are. The room is standard for Toyoko. The only major drawback is...

Facilities: The hotel is located in a building right next to Nara Station. There's a skybridge from the second floor of the station platform that leads to the elevators, which take you directly to the hotel. Check-in, breakfast, and the hot spring are all on the same floor. Environment: The hotel's surroundings are well-equipped. Nara Station and the bus stop are right downstairs, the supermarket...
Very close to the jr station, facility is normal, service is normal.
This hotel slightly exceeded my expectations. The service and facilities, including the hot spring and complimentary drinks, were excellent. The breakfast was incredibly diverse, and the location is very convenient. I will definitely book this hotel again if I have the chance.
The transportation is incredibly convenient; you can take an elevator directly from the platform to the front desk, so there's no need to worry about wind or rain. Plus, there are plenty of convenience stores nearby. The hotel's own hot spring is open all night, which is perfect if you want to avoid crowds. The entire place is clean and tidy, and the room even came with a multi-port charging cable...
The hotel is literally next to the JR Nara Station. You can purchase all of your travel tickets there and the airport bus tickets, too. In that area, there is a grocery store, a Walgreens type store, and nice affordable places to eat. I highly recommend the place on the corner(pic #1-2). The two guys that run it are so nice. There is a long shopping/restaurant street kinda across from the tourist...
1. The hotel's welcome bar is a really nice touch. From 5-9 PM, they offer a free tasting of various drinks. It's almost always full, but everyone is very quiet. 2. The bathroom in the room is genuinely small, which makes using the toilet and washing up a bit inconvenient. 3. All the staff are very enthusiastic. The middle-aged gentleman who checked me in was especially helpful, and the younger female...

Getting to Naito JR station from Kyoto was very smooth and convenient. The hotel had confirmed our booking for three adults for two nights in Chinese, English, and Japanese. Upon entering the room, we found two beds pushed together, which was perfectly acceptable. It wasn't until we returned after dinner that evening that we realized there were only two duvets. Given how tired we were from our travels...
Unlike the hustle and bustle of Osaka, Nara is a perfect spot for relaxation. While it doesn't boast a multitude of attractions, visiting the park early in the morning away from the crowds, or simply spending time with the deer, offers a unique and memorable experience, especially for children. This hotel is conveniently located near Nara JR Station. While it might not be a luxury establishment, it...
The room was very spacious and offered a complimentary bath. The breakfast spread was also very generous, though the staff's English was quite limited.
Located right by the station, it offers incredibly convenient transportation and easy access to shopping.
Close to the station, easily walkable with luggage, close to deer park and other destinations.
Great hotel! Super convenient location right by the JR station. The room was spacious and had everything one could need. Breakfast was also quite good.

Perfect location in the center. Not much facilities but that's the thing with all of hotels in Japan I've been to.
Located a 6-8 minute walk from Nara Station, the hotel is right on a main street. It's surrounded by plenty of shops, making it incredibly convenient for both shopping and dining. Todai-ji Temple and Kofuku-ji Temple are also easily accessible. The place was clean, the front desk staff were very friendly, and they offered luggage storage before check-in. Overall, we had a very satisfactory stay.
The room was clean, and the hotel is conveniently located quite close to Nara Park. There's a commercial street right downstairs, and breakfast is provided in the morning. Overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay.
Although the hotel is a bit dated, the staff were still very friendly, and it offered great value for money.
The hotel is situated on a main street in Nara's tourist district, with both JR and Kintetsu stations easily accessible. The rooms feature a typical Japanese layout, but they are quite cramped. Service was just okay.
I stayed here for a week during the winter break, and now I'm back again for the summer holiday. The service is still excellent, as always, and the breakfast each morning is delicious. A big thank you to the staff for taking such great care of us this past week!

The service standard still need some improvement in order to catch up with the international chain hotels, especially during the checking in.
Good ..The guide lady who helped show me the way was especially nice. She could even speak a bit of Chinese. She helped me get on the shuttle bus to the station. And the scenery around here is really amazing.
The staff do not speak much English. Especially for room service, they are very polite and wanted to be helpful unfortunately due to barriers in language, we cannot communicate effectively
Absolutely magnificent. The structure, location and staff is pure perfection. It felt like we were living in another epoch.
the hotel is old (or called it historical),and so it is the service and management! none spoke English and I was totally confused time to times because there were so many hotel rules that you must follow. there were so many people, about 6,in the front desk area, all their jobs seemed to be not to provide services to the guest but to make sure the guests had followed their rules which they were not...

We loved our stay so much. They have a shuttle bus that takes you to the train station every half an hour.
The quilt and pillow are very comfortable, and the service is also very good. There is also a yoga group class at 7 o'clock in the morning. Overall, I am quite satisfied with all aspects.
There is Chinese service, the room interior is purely Western-style international chain configuration, and the breakfast has Japanese characteristics
Very satisfied! The check-in process was quick, the front desk checked the information professionally and efficiently, the room was quiet and tidy, the office facilities were complete (desk, high-speed WiFi), and the bedding was comfortable and helpful for sleeping. The breakfast was rich and the service was thoughtful. The location was convenient and the surrounding business facilities were complete...
The service is quite good. Check-in is one-on-one. I drank a welcome drink while waiting for the check-in. When I made the bed at night, I put the child's doll in the quilt. When the child came back, he said it was cute. There are hotel shuttles to Kintetsu Nara Station and JR Nara Station. There is also a MiNARA shopping mall next to the hotel, which is quite convenient.

Very great location. Cheap good hotel , not too Old. Recommended .
The room wasn't soundproof and you might hear the outside speaking and ppl banging on the bed. The fridge also smelled so bad and the toilet was mouldy. Nevertheless it's affordable and near to the train station.
The hotel has a very good location / near the railway station and very close to the main sights of Nara. Rooms in the hotel are very small with no cupboard, no place to put your things to. Anyway rooms are clean and all hygienic necessities are available in the reception.
This hotel is great! Recommended and definitely will stay again next time.

Very nice place for the first time to travel in Nara, I will choice here next time.
Hotel is a station away from Nara center. We took bus or train. About 9 min away from station. Hotel has specious and beautiful Lobby, Rooms are very simple. Of course clean and neat as usually in Japan.
Temporarily stayed one night there, the lobby looks good, the room is clean, but the room is too small and too old for this price.
Onsen looks old. The basement stairs that leads to car park, leading to onsen will close at 12am Good dinner and breakfast
The room area is relatively large in Japan, the breakfast is also very rich, the hot spring is very comfortable, and there are four pools, which is considered a relatively large hot spring venue. About ten minutes' walk eastward, there is a comprehensive commercial building with a large supermarket on the first floor. After 7pm, sashimi and sushi are 50% off, making shopping very convenient.

My friend and I stayed in a twin room. We checked in late after returning from the Expo, but the receptionist's kind words helped us relax. We headed to the hotel from Kintetsu Nara Station, enjoying the beautiful cityscape. I'd definitely stay here again when I'm in Nara.
Good environment and good geographical conditions
The toilet is surprisingly clean, the staff is pretty and polite, and it's close to Nara Park and the temple market. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
My husband and I booked a standard room with a double bed on Ctrip. But when we got to the hotel, we were told that it was only for one person, and that two people would have to pay an extra 3,850 yen, about 200 yuan. I went to argue with Ctrip, but they were tough and official, saying it was my problem and that I didn't see the "one person" mark in a very small corner. I said I would give a bad...
There is free coffee etc available for guests on the first floor which was convenient.

Great stay, close to the jr station but you need transport or a 20min walk to the deer park but the breakfast is amazing with free coffee available all day.
It's very comfortable as its name. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have Laundromat coined machines plus driers on 5th floor. It's very convenient. However, the breakfast is almost totally the same. I stayed there 4 nights. They changed a few menus. If you don't mind, you can get some meal box from AEON supermarket at JR Nara station and warm it with the microwave at the hotel. That's fine
With a very convenient location, reasonable prices, and friendly staff, I think this place is definitely worth using

Good place to stay but the food is pricey.
Right near the entrance to Nara park and in between the two main train stations, this hotel was an absolute steal. The sofa bed for the third guest was a bit too firm for my taste, but I'm sure other people would enjoy it. Staff was super helpful and even carried or bags to our room, which made me feel a little bad because one of my bags was unreasonably heavy.

Good service, room was way too small though since they used a queen at the bottom in case of 3 guest capacity. Because of this your luggage space is negligible. But I guess that can't be changed.

The location is convenient, just a 10-minute drive to Nara Park. There are multiple hourly parking spaces nearby, so there is no need to wait. Check in was quick and the breakfast buffet had plenty of food options.
There was absolutely no dissatisfaction with the guidance to the room when entering the building, the use of the facilities before going to bed, and the breakfast the next morning. If I dare to say it, the free breakfast system might have been difficult to understand.

The hotel is in a great location. The room is very nice, but with two main weaknesses: no hooks for towels, and no curtains so the sunlight will wake you up. My trip to Nara with my mom and sister was very close to Nara Kintetsu Station and the shopping street. There was a Starbucks and the shopping street downstairs.
