This hotel is very conveniently located next to JR Otsu train station, just 10-minute train ride from Kyoto station. Compared to similar hotels around Kyoto station, the rate is reasonable, and the availability seems much better. The room is clean and cozy. I have no complaints at least for business use. If any, though the location is just next to the train station, the entrance is a little bit difficult to find. But I do not think it can be a real problem.

If you are planing a cheap hotel near Kyoto I recommend this one. Literally the hotel is in the station just get the elevator and go down and there you go you arrive attge station and after 2 stops 9 minutes you arrive at Kyoto station.

Located behind the JR station which could take you to anywhere outside the town. Need to walk to other location within the town as there's no connecting train. The hotel is rather old but is ok to stay at affordable price. A restraurant within the hotel that serve good food.

Located right at JR Otsu Station, you can just step out of the ticket gate and take the elevator straight up to the hotel. Super convenient!
