Excellent location, right in the heart of the shopping district, and convenient for visiting all the attractions. Although the room was small, it was clean and tidy. The bathroom deserves a special mention – coming back each day for a bath was a real treat!

The room was very clean, and the location was convenient. I loved the self-check-in and check-out options, which are great for introverts. One of the better APA hotels we have stayed at. We were originally in a smoking room. But they were able to switch us to a non-smoking room. We were very pleased with the rest of our stay there. Great location all in all and close to everything in the area.

Location of the hotel was a short walk over the bridge to the underground Station. Supermarket and bike hire over the road. The room were dark due black walls. Self-check-in was available, but the service was quite good. There was a water dispenser and a small seating area. If you are planing a cheap hotel near Kyoto I recommend this one. Literally the hotel is in the station just get the elevator and go down and there you go you arrive attge station and after 2 stops 9 minutes you arrive at Kyoto station.

Located behind the JR station which could take you to anywhere outside the town. Need to walk to other location within the town as there's no connecting train. The hotel is rather old but is ok to stay at affordable price. A restraurant within the hotel that serve good food.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and held our bags since we arrived in Kyoto before check in time. The hotel was conveniently located near a train station and several convenience stores. Only complaint was that the bathroom was on a steep step that was not labeled. My friend and I stumbled on it a couple times before getting used to it.

The location is great! The wifi was problematic though...we ended up using our own sim cards. Facilties are a bit old, especially the heating. There's only 4 settings, not like an aircon remote. But otherwise beds are comfy and there was sufficient space for luggages.

well, i mistakenly choose the smoking room which made me feel very uncomfortable whole night. It's my fault, I don't blame, but the ventilation is sooooo bad that I could always smell the smoking from my next-door neighbor. Others were ok. If you don't mind it's a bit old and you would just stay for a night, this is a good choice.

If you are going to visit Lake Biwa or Hikone Castle, staying at Reiah Hotel Otsu Ishiyama is very convenient for transportation and the price is much more affordable than hotels in Kyoto. The hotel breakfast is good and freshly ground coffee is available all day.

The hotel is located on the banks of the Takase River, about a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station. It's quiet and convenient. The rooms are cleaned daily and are very tidy. This is my second time, I took my daughter to their open air onsen room and she loves it!! I really enjoyed the time with her in the quiet place so we could truly relax together!!

Lunch and dinner were absolutely delicious with a wide variety of options. However, the private bath in the room only had regular water, not hot spring water. To enjoy hot spring water, you need to use the public bath. They do offer private hot spring baths for rent for 50 minutes, which is a good alternative.

Good hotel if you really want to get away and relax. Do spas and light/ medium sightseeing. It’s about an hour train ride to any major modern shopping stuff. They serve Japanese style breakfast and western breakfast for extra charge. Make sure to specify which one. For dinner it’s usually Japanese style. And the food was good. I found out a lot of things I did and didn’t like for cuisine.

A good location for tourist who love to enjoy the city.

The room is small. Not fit for three. No place to keep your luggages inside the room. The staff are accommodating. There is a lounge to stay in the night.

It's a pity that it's on the 5th floor. If you live on a higher floor, you can see the lake. There are railroad tracks under the window, but it doesn't feel noisy even with the window closed. I like the small cup for boiling water. It's rare to boil water in the hotel. Disadvantages: The toiletries are simple and need to bring your own.

The hotel's check-in and check-out times are better than those of other Japanese hotels. We were able to check in right after 1:00 p.m. The rooms are retro, and it's the first time I've seen a key-turned power supply. It's close to Lake Biwa, but the Omi beef restaurant next door is closed.

I stayed at two different hotels for three nights in Kyoto, and this one completely exceeded my expectations. The hotel was very close to the attractions, the bedroom was huge, and the mattress was comfortable. The hotel also had a dryer, which was a huge plus.
