Good place and location , a lot of technological innovations which is pretty cool
If you want to make international friends and are into the backpacker vibe, this is the place for you. Very clean. Polite staff. Able to store luggage before check in. Location is right in the middle of the tourist district. Sometimes the elevator was very slow to pick you up if a busy time. My capsule room had a rip in the screen which let light in. Of course, the nature of this hotel is you are close...
Overall great experience at the Millenials Kyoto. When you arrive there is a possibility to leave your luggage before check-in. The bed is quite comfortable, the bathroom could be a bit cleaner ->dust falling from the A.C fan… The service is impeccable (there is even unlimited cofee/hot chocolate… available all day long) Breakfast could have more fresh pastries (they where taken out of the plastic...
Hotels in Kyoto are really expensive during autumn leaf season, so this place is a great value for solo travelers. They provide slippers and towels, and the shared bathrooms are very clean and modern. The showers are spacious, and the staff are friendly. It's a bit of a walk to the subway on the main street, but very convenient for buses. Everyone staying here is quite quiet. The only downside is the...
The location is perfect with nice environment. The staff is friendly. Excellent place for people doing digital nomad
This capsule hotel was a great experience ! The capsule itself was big, the bed was comfortable. The common area had a nice vibe with people chilling all around. Very good location! I would definitely like to come back :)

Excellent service and a fantastic location! It's surrounded by a bustling commercial street, making it incredibly convenient for getting around.
Great location with basic amenities. Good for tourist. Well recommended and situated in a good location Laundry facilities can be improved by having paid laundry and the machine being lockable. Had laundry taken out inconsiderate users when it’s not finished yet
The location is great! The wifi was problematic though...we ended up using our own sim cards. Facilties are a bit old, especially the heating. There's only 4 settings, not like an aircon remote. But otherwise beds are comfy and there was sufficient space for luggages.
Old hotel with an entrance right at the station. Living on lower floors guarantees vibration from the trains and sound from the street. Location itself is great and price is adequate for the location.
The location couldn't be better. It's super convenient for visiting Arashiyama, Uji, and other places. Downstairs, you'll find popular shopping spots like Shinkyogoku Shopping Street, and Takashimaya is right across the street.
The Kyoto Central Hotel boasts an excellent location, right by the Hankyu station exit. The facilities are a bit dated, and you don't need a key card for power, but there are very few outlets. I booked a single room with a single bed but was given a standard room, which was a bit confusing. Living in the city center has its clear pros and cons: it's next to a subway station, making it convenient to...

The room had a wonderfully calming Japanese-style interior. The lobby also maintained a strong Japanese aesthetic, making it the kind of hotel where you'd want to stay another night.
The hot tub on the first floor was a hit with kids, and the breakfast was a perfect Japanese meal. It also offered an experience of Japanese tatami culture. The price wasn't the best value, but overall it was acceptable.
Incredible! Large bathtub and spacious ryokan-style room!
The location is close to the station, and the facilities are clean. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The bedding was clean, and the breakfast was surprisingly good, with a decent selection. I'll definitely stay here again.
Very nice house, well maintained. Excellent value for money for Kyoto. Good central location close to transport to the main sites!
Very comfortable tatami, clean, free hot spring. I like it very much. It takes a long time to walk after getting off the subway. There is no subway station nearby. Other than that, it is very good.

Really good location here. Really good location here. relax
Clean, quite and convenient. A very good place to stay a while.
The hotel is located right outside the Otsu Station ticket gates. Entering the property is through the attached bar and restaurant. Most of the nearby restaurants seem to close around 11pm. There are no cooking utensils, but you can bring your own food and drink in the common areas. There are also pots and water dispensers, so we were able to eat cup ramen inside the hotel.
Excellent establishment, the staff are very pleasant and everything is very clean.
I used it last time, and the location, directly connected to the station, is very convenient. The showers, powder rooms, and other facilities are spacious and clean, making it a pleasant experience. I'd like to use it again.
Excellent location, right at the station. Check in 16h00. No wifi offered. Hotel access via public restaurant - feels weird to walk between diners to go out / return. Lockers far too narrow even for airline carry-on. Bathroom is clean, shower has small dry area, and water pressure varies. Capsules are spacious with power socket, lights, shelf, etc. The mattress is a few cm thick piece of soft foam...

I'm happy to be able to drink soft drinks for free. I also appreciate that there is a WaterServer on each floor.
Very small hotel. Not suitable for taking children.
The hotel is about 100 meters away from the subway exit, as long as you find the right exit. The room is not too small. The front desk is from Southeast Asia and the service is no problem. The room is really not too small, and there is also a leg massager. It is within walking distance to scenic spots and shopping. All kinds of food in the surrounding area can satisfy you.
Breakfast is average, not many choices. The hotel staff are very polite.
It was clean and good for the price. I had a free time and didn't have to worry about laughing. The front desk staff was also kind and happy. Sightseeing is easy and convenient. Recommended!
The hotel is very close to the subway station. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Zhuyuan, Yasaka Shrine and Kamogawa. The hotel room is relatively large in Kyoto. The hotel environment is clean and soundproofed, and the service staff are very friendly. The room is equipped with a leg and foot massager, which can help relieve the fatigue of daily travel, which is great!

Extremely friendly staff! Very nice stay in beautiful Kyoto. Very accessible to all kinds of places!
The place is clean, including a very functional and well kept kitchen.   Very helpful staff, she facilitated my early checkout outside her working hourly, Thank you do much.
I was traveling alone this time, and couldn't find a hotel during a busy holiday period. This hostel exceeded my expectations; it was incredibly clean and tidy, and had all the facilities needed. It's okay. It's my second time staying here. I think it's the same room. It's a 1-minute walk to Slo and 5 minutes to Suba.Kyoto. So I highly recommend it. It's very close to the river and the price is reasonable.
Great location with plenty to explore nearby. The restaurant/bar downstairs is very comfortable and the service is good. I'd definitely stay here again. Hotel guests get discount coupons for the bar downstairs – highly recommended for those who like a modern aesthetic with a touch of natural wood.

This was better then we expected. Really nice location, close to the old town (walking distance), but still quite. Some of our favorites restaurants where from the street next to the hotel.
Small but convenient and quiet and comfortable Nice location in Gion, close to noteworthy points both at night and during the day Very good value for money overall
The room was rather small; with two large suitcases open, space had to be cleverly utilized. Room cleaning was done at fixed times, every other day, but towels were changed and trash disposed of daily upon request. The room seemed well soundproofed; I heard very little noise during my four-night stay. The hotel is located in a small alley; the road in front is a 17-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple...
I thought the location would be a bit off-putting, considering it's a bit far from Kyoto Station, but it's also close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and there were more restaurants and attractions nearby than I expected! The facilities were nice, and most importantly, the staff were friendly!
I was staying alone, so there was no need for an extra bed. The room was spacious enough for one person, and could even accommodate two people with luggage. However, you need to pick up your own toothbrush and toothpaste from a designated area when you go upstairs, as there are none in the bathroom. The best thing about this place is its proximity to Gion-Shijo (within 10 minutes) and Kiyomizu-dera...
Clean, the front desk staff is friendly and amiable, the location is close to Kiyomizu Temple, the toilet is big enough, there are water dispensers, ice machines and ice buckets for guests to use, the only drawback is that there is no cleaning service (you need to pay extra)

The absolute best amazing hotel in Kyoto. I highly encourage people to stay and enjoy the sights. The staff were amazing and excellent professional.
I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Kyoto. The room and view were outstanding, and the staff were so helpful and attentive. They really went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends when they visit Kyoto.
This is the best hotel I have ever been to. The price was very reasonable, the service was outstanding, the room came with a small kitchen and was very comfortable, and the location is amazing next to the Imperial Palace and a lovely public park. My wife had a medical emergency our first night here and the staff was amazingly helpful and kind. I will always stay at this hotel when I return to Kyoto...
The room is quite large and the service is also very good. It's just a few steps away from the Kamo River beach, which is great for running and walking.
It was a fantastic stay. It snowed in Kyoto the night we checked in, but the hotel room was bright, spacious, and warm, making me feel completely relaxed. As a check-in gift, I received a Demachifutaba (named after bean cake) that I had been planning to buy the next day. It was such a treat! The complimentary drinks and snacks in the room were also delicious. I'll definitely be back next time!
I have never had a hotel exceed my expectations in so many ways. The location is slightly away from the busy part of town, and after a day in Gion, that's exactly what I needed. The complimentary gifts and cosmetics were better than I had ever experienced. The staff was incredibly friendly and did their best to see that I had everything I needed. The hot tub after a day of walking was incredible.

Tucked in a gorgeous, shrine-filled neighborhood in Kyoto, this traditional ryokan featured views from our room of a beautiful garden, and way more space than we needed. Stay here for a wonderful Kyoto experience! This ryokan was the best part of our trip to Japan! Would stay there again. Delicious breakfast and lovely hosts.
Near Kiyomizu Temple, the hotel faces the street and has a small facade. When you open the door, you will find a hidden world. Follow the winding stone road to reach the old house. Quiet. Traditional. Foreigner friendly. I only stay here when I'm in Kyoto. My mother loved the yukata and asked where to get them so they sold her a couple at cost. Very accommodating people run this place.

Great staff, very helpful and they are English speaking. We loved their traditional bathtub after a long day and if you like sleeping on traditional bamboo floor it's great, for me I like my bed extremely cozy but my husband loved sleeping on the floor. This is a dormitory-style guesthouse next to Kyoto University, not a youth hostel, which is also its charm in my opinion. Living here requires consideration for others and certain climbing skills. In short, whether the accommodation is good or not depends mainly on the roommate, which is a matter of luck and probability. The store itself has done its best.
Clean and nice hostel in a quiet area. A bit far from the center, but there is a metro station nearby. Also nearby is a supermarket. I liked the room for 4 guests and the spacious common area. Showers and toilets are in good condition.
The futons, shared spaces, and bathrooms were clean, the room was warm, and there were plenty of handy things like tissues and hairdryers, so I had a comfortable stay. As a dormitory, it was perfect and I slept soundly. The owner and staff were kind and reassuring. I'd like to use this hostel again if I have business at Kyoto University.
