Overlooking lake biwa room! From far you could also see the snow mountain ! You can walk around the lake in the morning!

Very good, the room was spacious with a pleasant view from the window. Personally, I felt the breakfast on the 36th floor was better than on the 37th.

Aside from its location by Lake Biwa, this is a very ordinary hotel with basically no service. The air conditioning was uncomfortable, either too cold or too dry. The windows were also dirty, making it hard to see the Lake Biwa scenery clearly.

The lakeside room is incomparable to general street view or building view hotels, giving guests the feeling of exceptional value. It is difficult to find such spacious rooms at the same price in other hotels in Japan. The facilities are clean, and the bathtub space is sufficient, all of which make guests feel comfortable.

This hotel is located right by the lake, offering fantastic views. There's a free shuttle bus to and from the subway station, which makes going out for food and shopping very convenient. It's especially handy if you're driving, as guest parking is free. The rooms are spacious and tidy. Definitely a top choice if you have a car.

Traveling to Kyoto with my family, choosing to stay here was definitely the right decision. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Kyoto Station, which is incredibly convenient. I was very pleased with the hotel room design, comfort and space. The parking is first come first serve even though I had requested for it earlier so I had to park elsewhere for the first few nights. Location is excellent. Staff even found my discarded SIM card and were honest to callback and inform me about it.

Fortunately they booked us into a brand newly renovated room. Room smells spanky new, located is great for us as we can easily catch different buses to different corners of Kyoto to visit the major sites. And a beautiful authentic temple beside the hotel

Good overall, however a few bits with the room. There is no mirror that we found in the room outside of the bathroom, there is also a window that we couldn’t see a way of blocking out light (no curtain). Wow! What a wonderful experience at Biwako Grand Hotel. Truly the most relaxing part of my Japan trip, the onsen was very beautiful, with fantastic views. We didn't end up getting a pure lake view, but it was still a beautiful and relaxing experience in the tatami room. Stayed here for four nights while in Kyoto. In a great area a short ride from all the sights, but an interesting neighbourhood. Shops and restaurants close by. Would recommend.

The location is quite good, and it has everything you need.

This hotel is a 5-minute walk from Shijo Kawaramachi Station. Kyoto isn't very big, and in this weather, you can walk to Kiyomizu-dera, the Gion area, stroll along the river, and even reach the **** area all on foot. On the first day, I took public transport everywhere, only to realize later how close everything actually was. The room is small but clean. It's right on a main road, so there's some motorcycle...

For a city like Kyoto where every inch of land is precious, this hotel offers incredibly good value for money. The rooms are clean, the location is convenient, and the service is attentive. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Kyoto.

The perfect hotel! Wonderful location right next to Gion (and a beautiful canal), clean and comfortable room, lots of amenities, quiet, good service. Can onl recommend.

Hotel location is excellent. Not only super near the beautiful Kamo River, train & bus station & shopping mall. Just 5 mins walking distance you can have tons of restaurants to choose.
