The service was good, but the room was a bit small. A heads-up: even though I booked a double room, it was listed as single occupancy on Trip.com. If two people stay, you'll need to pay an extra fee at the hotel. I stayed here 3 nights in Kyoto although the location is not near any major tourist areas its a lovely hotel right off the train line. In fact you simply go down the stairs to get to the station. It is a traditional hot spring hotel. It is worth mentioning that there are several kinds of bath salts in their public bathroom, suitable for different skin types. My skin is very smooth after using it. The dog that saw the guests off was very cute. I loved staying at this hotel! It had such a cool, funky vibe. The location is very convenient for seeing the sites but being out of the hustle and bustle when you want to relax. The staff was very friendly, and they have a fun bar in the hotel that I definitely recommend checking out if you stay. The hotel even decorated our room for our honeymoon. The room was very comfortable.
