Solo room plan. Got the highest floor with a ocean view, tatami room. Pretty far out from the station but reachable with city bus. Nice location, two good play areas for kids, staff are great and I liked the buffet. However the room was quite old, with peeling wallpaper, a lot of stains, and it smelled of cigarettes. The bathroom and tatami seemed new, and sheets, bed, towels etc were clean and comfortable. So room felt old, but not dirty. My main issue was that pop music was playing loudly outside by the pool beyond 11pm at night...

We went in December and used the Wakayama refresh campaign. We had a nice staycation time and enjoy the playing area for kids, foot bath, karaoke, and onsen. They also have an outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, and a book corner. It’s a good place if you plan only stay in the hotel. The room was a bit old but it’s okay. The options for dinner and breakfast not much.

Great Onsen, wonderful outside warm swimming pool and hot tubs, vast tasty buffet, fun play areas for little kids and table tennis / amusements for older kids. Walking distance to cliffs. Room was a little dated and ours had a remaining smoking odour but there was lots of space for 6 people and we were only in it for sleeping because there was so much to do.

This was my second stay here and it has been improved greatly.

Beautiful Ryokan! The room I stayed in had tatami floors and western beds. The doors slide instead of open outwards like they usually do. Even though I checked in late, the staff came out to the parking lot to greet me. The subsequent service and explanations were very polite, and the hospitality was amazing. Thanks to the staff's consideration, I was able to spend a comfortable time.

The room had been renovated and was beautiful. Yukata rentals were available on the first floor, and other amenities were available on the second floor. It was great that nearby convenience stores were within walking distance.

The environment is OK, the hot spring is a bit small, 3 adults are the most comfortable, more than that will feel crowded, there are only 5 showers, the hot spring bath has a limited opening time, please pay attention to the time

It looks a little run down from the outside but the rooms have been recently renovated and are clean and spacious. Staff were very kind. We stayed in the Japanese style family room. We didn't order any meals. The onsen is a bit small. Only 3-4 men could use it at one time. They can give you a free parking pass for Adventure World. Great location. This is not the Grampus Inn Shirahama, which is often the first thing that comes up in online searches. Only a few rooms have showers or sinks. The owner, a Chinese or Korean, was very polite, but the barrier-free facilities I inquired about in advance were completely absent. I went there alone, but the building was clean and nice. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The only disappointment was that the Wi-Fi didn't work. When I asked the front desk, they said it didn't work with smartphones and they didn't help me any more. I was a foreigner, though...

The hotel's sanitary conditions are acceptable, and the service is satisfactory, which is the case for most hot spring hotels in scenic areas. The location is very close to the scenic spot, within ten minutes' walk, and travel is very convenient!

We love the whole new experience. We can enjoy onsen too.

I like the resort with Japanese onsen . You can get advantages of 3 onsens of different hotel by showing the key of your room to the other hotels near by grampus sea or near one more onsen and it is free entry ... the dinner is 2000 for one person it is pure Japanese and the breakfast if also Japanese .. there are 2 kinds of hotel Grampus sea and Grampus Inn... but nice view and I love onsen 😘

Served it's purpose. Nice location, has it's own onsen, and the traditional Japanese breakfast was an... experience.

It's decent for the money, i guess, since everything in Shirahama is pretty damn expensive, but overall a mixed experience. My guess is that hotel is run by an elder couple. Very good service attitude, warm and thoughtful

This hotel is the worst experience I have had in all these years. To be honest, this is a Japanese hotel. The environment is clean, and the facilities are not new, but they are OK. But the front desk of the hotel is a Japanese man who is about 60-70 years old. I only stayed for one day. The check-out time of the hotel is written as 7-11. I suddenly had a multinational meeting at 10:40, and I was afraid...

The service staff's attitude is bad and the old room is nothing special, there is no hair dryer in the room either. I booked a room with a sea view, but I could actually only see a little from afar, the rest was covered by trees on the roadside, not like the hotel's photo posted.

It's not bad for the price you pay in Shirahama. anywhere else, if you can find it, will cost you double to triple more and the room was decent. It's nothing fancy but luckily it is located right across for the Sandanbeki caves. The front desk guy is really friendly and helpful. It's only a few minutes drive to Shirahama Beach or you could actually walk there if you aren't lugging a lot around.

The location was very good just very close to Ginza street. Staff was super helpful as they helped us to book two restaurants for two nights (we would not be able as website only in Japanese). A cozy little guesthouse. The owner is very handsome! The location is great, with a supermarket nearby and a beautiful beach within walking distance. The facilities are very complete, although there were some obvious stains on the bedding that couldn't be washed out 🤣, and the toilet was also quite small. But for this price, it's still very suitable for just one night.
