A great place to stay while exploring Shirahama!
Spacious and clean room, quiet neighbourhood but well connected in an area with many restaurants, bars, supermarkets and convenience stores, and of course very close to the beach.
The owner has greeted me very kindly, and always seemed very energetic and enthusiastic, ready to help guests with any questions or needs :)

Very friendly place, would definitely come again and recommend warmly ~

Small downside was that there's was no comfortable table to sit at for a prolonged period of time, which made working from the room a bit tricky.
Only a low table with cushions to sit on the floor.

I specifically chose to stay overnight in Shirahama Station to see the sea and the sunset at Engetsu Island. The price was very economical, and I could have the room all to myself. The room even had a private toilet and bathroom, although it was the smallest bathroom I've ever seen, it was still sufficient for showering. The receptionist was very warm and attentive, explaining everything in advance. You need to make your own futon on the floor, which was a fun experience. There was a guidebook of nearby restaurants in the room, recommended by the guesthouse staff, which you can use to try out local eateries.

It's only a 10-minute walk to Engetsu Island. It was cloudy that evening, so I didn't take any sunset photos and went straight to the coral reef for a lobster feast. The road along the coastline was very pleasant. The guesthouse also offers free bicycles, but the local roads are a bit narrow, so I didn't try them. The next day, it was a 30-minute walk to Senjojiki, and another 15-minute walk to Sandanbeki.

Also, the weather in Shirahama is incredibly unpredictable. It was sunny and calm when I arrived, but after dinner, it was pouring rain. The next day, the intermittent drizzle mixed with the strong sea breeze was also unforgettable.

Here has everything you need: a kitchen, bathtub, and smart toilet. Sleeping on the tatami floor offers a unique cultural experience.

The location is excellent, close to convenience stores, 24-hour supermarkets, and the beach.

The host is incredibly kind and thoughtful. Despite an injured leg, the host still insisted on helping carry my luggage upstairs.

The price is very reasonable, and I would happily stay here again.

The location was very good just very close to Ginza street. Staff was super helpful as they helped us to book two restaurants for two nights (we would not be able as website only in Japanese). Izakaya mon the second one super recommended. It was very spacious: having a main room, another bedroom, a big bath and showers, and bathroom with washing machine. Price was very very good. So totally recommended.

I went alone with my child, arriving very late and leaving early the next morning. It was purely a short trip, and the price was acceptable. However, they didn't register passports, the door locks were unreliable, the tatami mats had to be laid by ourselves, and the carpets appeared to have uncleaned or indelible stains. The owner was alright, though. The guesthouse didn't have an elevator, but they helped carry heavy suitcases and were very helpful, answering all my questions. It had air conditioning and a bathroom, and was very close to the beach, just a few minutes' walk away. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide.

A cozy little guesthouse. The owner is very handsome! The location is great, with a supermarket nearby and a beautiful beach within walking distance. The facilities are very complete, although there were some obvious stains on the bedding that couldn't be washed out 🤣, and the toilet was also quite small. But for this price, it's still very suitable for just one night.

Although I only stayed there, they were very kind and made my trip comfortable. There is a foot bath nearby and a supermarket that is open 24 hours a day, so the location is great!

I stayed here for two nights on a family trip. I contacted the hotel because I was planning to arrive early, and they were very helpful in letting me check in early. I changed clothes in my room and it was a short walk to the beach, so I went to the beach three times during my stay. The inn has a place where you can splash water outside, so when you get out of the sea, you can wash off the sand and go straight to the bath in your room. It's very convenient. The staff at the inn were very kind and took care of everything during my stay, including meals (where to eat? It's better to make a reservation if you're going to eat at a restaurant, when to go to the nearby supermarket, etc.), and it was a very nice inn.

We (my husband, our 2 little girls and I) stayed at this lovely place for 2 nights during this weekend. We got a room on 2nd floor which was so nice. It's like an apartment so there's a simple kitchen area with electric stove, very good size refrigerator, electric water kettle and pretty spacious dishwashing basin. There's also a microwave just outside of our door on the hallway. All kitchen utensils are provided in the 1st floor but I didn't find any spoons/forks/chopsticks so we ended up buying them at the 100 yen shop. All basic amenities are provided (slippers, yukata, soap, shampoo, toothbrush & toothpaste, towels, futon). This place is just a short walking distance from almost everywhere; 24-hour supermarket, 100 yen shop, Shirahama bus center, Shirahama beach, restaurants, cafes, post office, foot bath hot spring, fish stall, taxi services etc. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this place. Thank you!
