Comfort Inn Kagoshima Taniyama in Kagoshima

[Location]
First of all, the nearest train station (Taniyama tram stop, JR Taniyama station) is far away, so you have to take a taxi.
An economical way to get there is to use the city bus, but it is also far from the nearest stop (Omido), and you have to walk about 1km after that, so the location is not good in that sense.
Also, the surrounding area seems to be an industrial area, and there are restaurants along the main roads, but you still have to walk a while from the hotel, so it is not very convenient.

[Cleanliness]
The same level as a general business hotel, neither good nor bad.

[Service]
Nothing worth mentioning. For some reason, you have to bring the necessary number of toothbrushes, razors, combs, etc. from the shelf in front of the front desk to your room.
The iron shared by the entire building is always available for loan, and the VOD server is broken with no prospect of repair, so it seems to be essentially left unattended.

[Facilities]
The morning buffet seems to be served at a Japanese restaurant (seafood) on the first floor, but the storefront and menu are reminiscent of a "○○ Fisheries" izakaya, and the set meal prices are completely tourist prices.

In the end, we walked about 10 minutes from the hotel to a chain restaurant for set meals. There seemed to be other guests who had done the same thing, and the front desk gave us a guide (flyer) to restaurants around the hotel.

The overall evaluation was a bit harsh, but the high accommodation price during the holiday week was also a factor in our dissatisfaction.
I chose this hotel because I had a funeral to attend nearby, so the travel distance was short, but for this price, I think a hotel in front of Kagoshima Chuo Station would be much better in terms of conditions and overall satisfaction.
I don't think there is much benefit to staying there, especially considering the inconvenience of the location.

Cheap and convenient. It´s ok.
