Hotel is in a pretty good location. Close to kumamoto JR station by Tram and walkable distance to the sakuramachi bus terminal/mall (5min). Serviable by both red and blue tram lines as well.

Room is slightly bigger than the usual japanese business hotel. Pricewise was really affordable as well ($40+ sgd/night 1 pax).

The hotel provides room cleaning for concurrent 3 days stay I believe (no daily cleaning, only change of towels), but you will need to pass the keycard/key tothe front desk on the day of the cleaning. And then retrieve the key back when come back to the hotel after the cleaning.

No microwave in room, you need to go down to the lobby to use the only microwave in the hotel. Otherwise the hotel is a cheap and good stay.

I'd definitely stay here again just for their breakfast buffet. Everything was delicious! The location is fantastic too, just one intersection away from Kumamoto Sakuramachi and very close. It's also super close to Kumamoto Castle; I walked there. The walking path around Kumamoto Castle is really peaceful, which I loved. This was my first hotel in Japan, and the front desk service was excellent, with very sweet staff. It was quite surprising to see guests queuing for check-in automatically keeping a meter apart. However, I wasn't entirely satisfied with some stains on the room carpet and a bit of grime on the soap dish in the bathroom, not sure if it was old age or poor cleaning. The water stains on the faucet and bathtub weren't wiped clean either. On the TV, you could see the current status of the hotel's laundry room. The bed was very comfortable as well. I'm not sure if other rooms are like this, but I feel that if you encounter such issues, you should be able to switch rooms.

Extremely close to the station! It's just over 100 meters to the Fukuoka station, making it super convenient for coming and going. Although the room was small and not far from Kumamoto Castle, I didn't spend much time in it anyway, so it was perfectly acceptable.

Location wise is good. But lady staff is not friendly and helpful. We are driving few round looking for car park, asking lady at front desk but not helpful plus information not correct. Totally no smile during the checked in process. Rooms look quite old and don feel comfortable. Won't return for 2nd time's. The most worst hotel amont my road trip.

Good for the bus travelers. Just a few minutes' walk from / to Sakuramachi Bus Terminal.The hotel building is old. The central heating system seems inconvenient in autum and spring.

Great location, spacious rooms, and excellent hygiene. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, and the service is superb. It's conveniently located with many restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!

🛍️ The hotel is conveniently located just behind SAKURA MACHI Kumamoto and is a mere 10-minute walk from the main shopping street. It is also surrounded by tram stations, making travel easy and accessible.

🚙 Although the hotel does not have its own parking lot, it offers discounts at nearby parking facilities. I found it more convenient, however, to park at the lot directly in front of the hotel for 1,400 Yen per night, which is almost the same price as the hotel's discounted options.

🛌 The room size is typical for a Japanese hotel with two twin beds, but the bathroom is slightly larger than average. The only downside is that one of the beds is positioned too close to the window, meaning you'll sleep near the curtain, which is a bit dusty.

The room was cleaner than I expected. Breakfast was delicious, and the location is excellent – just a minute or two's walk from Sakuracho, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. The service was also great; the staff were warm and polite.
