We speak almost zero Japanese and booked the wrong date, but the staff were super welcoming and accommodated us despite that. We had a traditional room with sitting area, and it was HUGE. We got both dinner and breakfast and they were the biggest meals we had during our trip, with careful presentation and small thoughtful touches, for less than $10 per person. The included onsen is truly public (full of local old ladies) which is the authentic experience I wanted - note that I covered my tattoo using a sticker I brought with me and was able to use the onsen. The staff are elderly which made it all the more impressive how clean our room was, and how much attention to detail we noticed in everything from the clothes to the food - they clearly take great pride in their work. There was a gorgeous tea set up in our room at the traditional floor seating area, with handmade tea pot and cups. We only stayed one night on our way west but this is a hotel I would 100% recommend if you’re looking for authenticity over luxury. We left feeling relaxed, rested, and well-fed!

I stayed one night as a solo traveler, with no meals included.
They were able to store my suitcase on the day I arrived, which was very helpful.
After checking in, I was excited to see how spacious the room was. I was happy to be able to watch local programs on TV.
The hot spring was quite hot, which was very relaxing. There was a supermarket nearby, so it was easy to do some light shopping.
I didn't have any particular inconveniences, and I thought the price was reasonable for the center of Kagawa.☺️

The temperature and quality of the hot spring water in the large public bath are just right.
The rooms are spacious.

It's within walking distance from Takamatsu Station.
It's very affordable.
24-hour access.
If you can tolerate a slightly older style, this is definitely the best value for money option around Takamatsu Station.

I was randomly assigned a two-bed room. The hotel is older so there is a slight odor on some floors. The hot springs are very hot and soothing. It is a 20-minute walk from Takamatsu Port along Hyogo-dori. Breakfast is Japanese and drinks are provided.

I was completely satisfied. For this price, I think I'll always stay here during my trips to Takamatsu. Highly recommended!!

This hotel is a must-see; it's the only one I've ever missed while traveling in Japan. First, the location is terrible, far from Takamatsu Station and the airport shuttle bus stop. Second, the hotel facilities are extremely dated. It's a combination of a bathroom and a hotel, where elderly locals enjoy showering. The room smelled of moldy wood, and the toilet was also quite smelly. Third, the hotel is in a desolate area of Takamatsu, some distance from the bustling city center. There's only a mediocre supermarket nearby, with little to offer. When visiting Takamatsu, I recommend staying a little south of the train station, as it's a short walk to Takamatsu Port. It's convenient for enjoying the ocean breeze, catching the high-speed rail, shopping, buying souvenirs, visiting convenience stores, and catching the train. Don't stay here; it's like being in a remote area.

There's a hot spring and sauna, and it wasn't bad. The Wi-Fi was great. The breakfast was delicious and included yogurt. The location was decent. The room was very spacious. There's a convenience store nearby.
