Well, 5 stars in the conventional sense for this hotel is frankly a bit much. But, in General, a good impression. On a solid C grade. There is a SPA with a swimming pool, apparently it got awarded 5 stars. But water treatments failed to treat myself, so the rating in this part does not give.

Great room, good atmosphere and competent speakers. But the food is lame...

Good breakfast, business lunch is terriable and the restourant not so good. Room is more or less is OK, but no cleaning on snow in front of the hotel from ice.

I will update while staying here this week. Initially, very nice hotel. A few things to point out, main phone in room doesn't work. And yes, it is plugged in. Phone in bathroom does work. I have tea and coffee in the room to fix, but they didn't leave any sugar, milk or honey to fix it with. No information in hotel info binder in room about the spa. Front desk say it is there. Have looked 3 times. Finally had to walk down there to get information. No office chair to ise at the desk to work with. Also, no lights at the desk to work with and the room doesn't have enough lights to provide adequate light for working. Bed side lights dont work. Have turned on numerous switches. Overall though, nice hotel.
Update: I had them bring me an iron and ironing board to use during my week long stay. I used it this morning and when I got back to the room this evening, housekeeping had removed it from the room. I had them bring it back and again informed then I will need it for the week. We will see. They didn't leave me any shampoo today but I do have quips for cleaning my ears that I didn't have yesterday. I would prefer the shampoo. I had them bring some but it is worth mentioning that the shampoo is in the soft packages that you can't open. And of course you can't travel with a knife or scissors anymore. Oh yeah, for some reason they took my shelf out of the shower. Now I am setting things on the floor in the shower.
Update: Things have not improved. Phone the room doesn't work and they can't seem to do anything about it. I had a Taxi leave because they couldn't call me to let me know it was here. Today they didn't leave any body wash and took the iron g board back again. They also didn't leave any tea or take my dirty cup and leave a clean one. Also, when you order at the restaurant or the bar, they are out of just about everything.
I am moving to the Renaissance hotel. Much nicer and way better service. They also have a brand new Holiday Inn about to open in a nice part of town.
