Karavansaray Harbour Turkistan Hotel in Turkistan

Luxurious world-class hotel with mesmerizing views. Located in about 15-minute walking distance from the holy place of Khodja Ahmed Yassawi mausoleum.

What completely turned me off is the hotel accounting department and the hotel management refusing to refund money for a day that me and my family paid for in error but didn't stay. I'd understand if that was their policy (the policy states "free cancellation"), but they lied about our late checkout until I provided them with our flight tickets that proved that we actually checked out early, then made up a ridiculous excuse about "new years special bundle policy". The day we checked out we were actually assured by the front desk representative that we'd either get a refund or a hotel credit that we could use in the future. Considering the class of the hotel, I didn't suspect any "surprises". By the way, the hotel took 2 weeks to respond back to us only to refuse to refund the money.

Loved the hotel and the place, not the management that pocketed 240K tenge without a shame.

P.S. all 3 rooms that we booked looked the same, the only difference between twin and king rooms are separate or single beds, and they're same size as a king bed if you put them together.

Except service, everything is exceptional. I simply requested for coffee sachets, and didn't get it despite multiple calls.

From my perspective, it is a trash copy paste of Land of Legends (Belek, Turkey). 🤦‍♂️
