They have very comfortable rooms with all the necessities, nice breakfasts, and a parking place. Our room had a view on the lake and mountains. The guest house is walking distance to the city beach

Excellent guest house near the sea, very beautiful territory and everything is well maintained, breakfast is a bit weak, no fruits at all, not far from Golden Sands, excellent value for money

You can walk past the WWII monument opposite the guest house through a creepy wasteland to the same park or turn left to the bourgeois hotels and their shopping streets and attractions

You can walk along the shopping street to the boarding house and through the park to the beach

There is a market 1km away with a fairy every weekend with a big choice of fish (fresh, smoked, dried), delicious fruits and berries (cherries, strawberry, apricots), all sorts of mushrooms, mountain honey

And they change day after day: porridge, two pancakes, cottage cheese/kaymak, or one of the types of scrambled eggs with sausages and sliced ​​cucumber-tomato, or samsa with meat (this is still not bad), and instead of bread there can be pies with potatoes

We tried a couple of rooms and both were immaculately kept. It's a family-run establishment where the mother prepares excellent breakfasts and dinners. If we were to come back, this would be our first choice

This was one of the nicest guesthouses we stayed with on your road trip. I had also left my ski jacket at this guesthouse and your host arranged to be picked up and delivered to me in the next city

The bathrooms were clean and the beds comfortable and the hostess was helpful arranging taxis and outings

Her jams are extremely yummy by the way. She is a chef and an awesome host. Her son is equally hospitable and advised us on many things here in Kyrgyzstan. Will be visiting again for sure

We were a little uncertain after reading some reviews about extra charges but I now believe that it must have been a misunderstanding, they are lovely, honest people. If you have dinner there is an extra charge

The southern shore of Issyk Kul is a gem unlike the northern. We stayed at Gulmira's homestay and had the most wonderful time. Everything is Organic and grown in their own backyard

My driver brought me here after a log day of sight seeing and trekking in fairytale canyon. Received a warm friendly welcome had a good nights sleep and a hearty breakfast

Our allocated room was beautiful already but for a reason we requested to change into bed spaces as it was empty, the Hosts Sultanat and husband were very accommodating and ensured everything was alright! Dinner is delicious and fresh

Best accomodation we had in Kyrgyzstan. Hosts are very hospitable, especially if you understand little bit of Russian/other slavic languages. The only downside are the beds, which are little bit less comfortable

Sergei and his wife are excellent hosts - and Bella the dog was a delight. Rooms were clean and very cosy, the en-suite bathrooms are also a big plus. I highly recommend staying here if you are in Karakol

Sergei is the best host! He took really good care of us before and after the hike to Ala Kul. The breakfast is amazing and Bella is a super cute dog.

The owners are super kind and always ready to help. We did the Ala Kul trekking and they kept our big backpacks for free. The last day the owner even took us to the bus station to help us take the right marshrutka

Meals are available, but when we were there, the cook was away and the menu was unknown, so the housekeepers cooked

A two-story guesthouse, crowded when full. The grounds are not very green. Beautiful willow, petunias, and roses

I loved our short stay here. The welcome was so warm, and the rooms were very large and spacious. Cleanliness was impeccable. Everything was spotless. +1 Located across from the thermal baths, which should not be missed.

You get what you pay for. It’s cheap and the quality level matches that. The owner is nice lady. Definitely can recomend but expect it’s gonna be matching the price.

Tables are cleared after scheduled meals, but if people eat on their own, they don't clean up after themselves and no one wipes down the table, leaving it dirty

Great location (close to the lake) and amazing home-cook food!! Love the open area where we can relax at night and look at stars. The owner also help us to arrange eagle hunting and horse riding im a very pretty area

Toilets were clean and enough of them for everyone. The nearest shops and restaurants are in Bokonbayev, but the owner cooks fresh disches every day, so you can buy food there. There is a fridge to use for everyone

It is a racing horse training farm that has a new guesthouse and restaurant. The guesthouse is brand new wooden and carpeted and comfortable.

Stayed overnight as part of a tour. Comfortable room with en suite ( rather strange position of toilet!). Good facilities and tasty evening meal and breakfast. Very efficient staff and cope well with groups of tourists

It's convenient for both coming and going to Bishkek, and you can catch the Mashtroka to Karakol from here! (There are buses from the eastern end of the city, but they also depart from here at the Central Terminal

Mind you that you are paying per bed in the room, so if you are staying alone in a two persons room, you will still pay the full price. The price is not high and it is fully understandable that you pay for the room

The rooms are not extremely clean, the beds are not super comfortable (make sure you are extremely tired then you would not care at all), the bathroom is old and it is stinky

We have been here by the end of the season, I think this is a great place if you in general don’t have high expectations

There were five of us here, a group of friends; there were no other guests. The hosts were very welcoming, always willing to accommodate your every request. It was clean, warm (we were there in winter), and spacious.

For Karakol's circumstances the rooms and bathrooms are outstanding! I would always prefer guest houses compared to e. hostels because you get to know people from around (not from abroad)

For 36 USD you get a spacious room, a balcony with chairs, a hearty breakfast with fresh fruits and vegetables (porridge unpictured), and refillable water. The host speaks limited English but enough to get by

We were able to wash 2 supermarket plastic bags’ worth of clothes so I am guessing 7-12kg? Note that they do not have a dryer, they just hang it out to dry, so this may not be the option for you if you are in a hurry
