We hadn't paid at that point and upon seeing the room, handed the keys back to the lady to leave again. The lady was annoyed, but not surprised and did 0 effort to convince us to stay or to ask us what was wrong. It's almost like this happens to them more often.
We were only there for 5 minutes total so maybe my review isn't fair, but I would not recommend this place.
I would recommend this place, and next time I'm in Riga, I will stay here again.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They introduced all the possibilities to us (like the paid breakfast) and showed us the entire place.
The location is just okay. One can get here just by taking one tram or bus. Walking, however, is not recommended; it gets over 40 minutes to just get to the place. So taking public transport is highly recommended.
Also, you can leave your luggage here after you check out and before you get on your plane/bus. However, the safety is a bit worrying; you just leave it in a hangout room that is next to the bar and is not locked behind any doors.
All in all, it is a great place to stay in for the value it has.
