Rixwell Elefant Hotel in Riga

Excellent hôtel. A little far from downtown Riga but worth to try. I got the solo traveller room, which was more than enough since I only used it to sleep.
Downstairs they have a very nice and quiet restaurant. Great service, both a hotel reception and restaurant. Will recommend and likely go again

Nice hotel. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.
It was handy for the airport and handy for the bus to get you into the city, very easy and cheap.

The hotel is clean and cozy, with friendly and attentive restaurant staff. Dinner was delicious, and the dishes were served quickly and beautifully presented. I was pleasantly surprised and felt truly welcomed when I entered the room and saw my name written on the welcome card. Special thanks to KATERINA at the reception for her warm and caring hospitality. A wonderful place to stay – I was completely satisfied.

I am picky customer/traveller and we arrived late in the evening and bit tired so I was looking for reasons to be unhappy with everything and indeed there was one occasion. Receptionist asked for my bank card details so that hotel could be able to charge my card if we used minibar items but I just never give card details just not logical thing to do nowadays. But receptionist Katerina handled the situation perfectly by offering to leave minibar deposit in cash and return it on our checkout. Even more pleasant was that she brought us a bottle of sparkling wine since she noticed it is my birthday. Also offered a cute candy for our 1.5 yo girl. Thank you! The room had a bit too soft bed mattress and we could not turn on the tv due to batteries in the remote most likely also the hot water was not hot enough for my liking so I thought yeah ok 4 star hotel. But it all changed in the morning when we went for breakfast. The variety and quality was beyond my expectations and something I never eat in hotels are the deserts but in this hotel they had some very well balanced taste creamy proteinous pures of at least three types. So I ate a lot of them (my birthday being an excuse). So yeah considering the very affordable price this really makes this hotel a solid 5 star experience.

Great location if you want to be halfway between, airport and city centre. 20 mins. in both directions if there is no traffic. Very nice hotel considering premises, not nice if you consider service. People at the front desk were sort of all right. Here, it seems difficult for people to smile a little.

The young ladies at the restaurant certainly did not want to be there, not a hello please give me a minute I will be right with you here is the menu. No, both nights I had to go get it myself, or I would never eat. They could not have been more passively unpleasant. Putting in an order and having it brought to your table was a test to one's patience. When I noticed that my server was the same person preparing my cocktail, I knew I had made a mistake. Nothing can come out well with a negative disposition.

This is a nice hotel, but not a 4-star hotel. I struggled to get off the bed, the mattress so old and sunken. They could use some bleach on the tile grout in the bathroom. Be aware, there is nothing to do in the area, it works if you want to be near the airport.

Not my first day in this hotel, I stay in this hotel my previous trip as well that’s why I selected this hotel. The breakfast bread is good. In my own personal opinion. It has a variety of warm food like my favorite baked beans. I would recommend this hotel also because it is very near to the airport

The hotel is located in a relatively remote and quiet area. There is a large shopping mall 5 minutes drive away, and there is a large supermarket where you can choose to buy food. From the outside, the hotel looks very ordinary, but after entering the hotel, I just felt that the overall atmosphere was good.

When you get out of the airport, you can take bus No. 22 to get there. It’s clean and has a bathtub!
There is a very big white elephant in the restaurant, and the breakfast is very rich! The overall feeling is pretty good! Except that the entrance is far away and the luggage is not easy to carry.

The food is good. I liked everything. I recommend it for this low price. The downside is that there is no balcony and it is inconvenient to open the RKNA
