Just good enough for a sleepover. No more than that. Room was small, bed are uncomfortable. Pillows are so cheap. Not hotel-level quality. Location are superb by the way. Tomyam, mamak are all nearby. 7E, speedmart just next door.

Preferred to stay this hotel because it’s near to Gunung rapat and Ampang. Environment is rather quiet than town area. Fireworks can be seen during the festive. It’s easy to get snacks and drinks as the 99 supermarket is just next to this building and walk 100m to a Mamak restaurant nearby for roti canai and tea tarik. Price is cheaper than any other hotels in Ipoh.

They only provide 1 card door key. One of their "pretty" receptionist reluctant to give another card and give me sour face. Even never reply my greeting.

Room is clean and quite.
Next to 99mart and 7eleven.
Surrounded by food as well.

Will come again.

Overall OK but a bit disappointed.
1- Don't have a good experience with the parking.
2- Don't have a telephone inside the room, has to use your phone but when you call didn't answer, has to call many times.
3- The toilet to dirty, have to call the cleaning staff to clean up but still, and has a bad smell, plus the pump for the toilet is broken.
4- The water pressure is very low.
5- The towel also very smelly.

The one star is for, the receptionist that assist me during the check in and during my stay, it's very helpful. So it's not recommended to stay with family. The location is good, it's nearby the Ipoh town.

I’ve been staying at Golden Roof Hotel Ampang Ipoh for the past year whenever I have meetings in Ipoh, almost every month or every two months. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the booking process has always been smooth. The cleanliness is excellent and the air conditioning works perfectly.

The location is also very strategic, not too far from town, with mamak and convenience stores nearby. There is also a Family Mart, petrol station, and a masjid within short distance. The only small challenge is parking, especially when there is a crowd at the nearby gym or badminton court, but for me that is a good sign because I actually feel safer with more people around since I usually travel solo.

Now that I have resigned from my company, I might not be visiting Ipoh as often for meetings, but I would like to thank all the staff for their great service throughout my stays. I will definitely choose this hotel again if I come to Ipoh for a holiday.

Parking a concern. I reached the hotel slightly late and it was located right next to a Chinese school. It was not hard to find using map application. However, I need to point out there are a number of people going for a sport activity that night, I notice some badminton players hence making the parking space is limited. I had to park slight far and right next to the school. Reception staff mentioned there will be more parking after midnight. Hotel management can consider to increase the number of parking or alternatively, help to increase the lightning as it was actually dark at the area.

Old facilities. Reception and staff were fine but the overall hotel facilities were old and some which I think very much needed an upgrade. Carpet is old and some cigarettes smell. I think the housekeeping has tried their best to clean. Might be good for overnight but not for a longer stay.

Average hotel. Bathroom had leaks on the taps/pipes and wasn'tvery clean. Room was dusty, especially at the sides of the wall. Wifi was bad, tv had boring channels. Good thing we brought our laptop for movies. Overnight stay was more than enough.

Come here if you wanna enjoy foul paint smell with dirty toilet. rented a family room yet only get one room card. stains everywhere without voice isolation.

the only thing to cheer about is the bed still sleep-friendly

Hotel facilities are old enough. Feel very dirty. The floor in the room and bathroom are very oily. Soundproof very poor. One ridiculous thing is another room's customer suddenly use their card to scan my room door and make de "di di di" sound, it's happening in the mid night! It was shocked me and my wife!

The price is reasonable, bed is very comfortable. Hotel seems not new but it is fine to stay. It located right in front of a school, the traffic and crowd are not affected as we were staying during weekend, not sure how it will looks like during weekday. Only thing is my room toilet light is a bit broken hence it glitch when we move in, thanks to the receptionist and the maintenance staff solve the problem very quickly. The other room that we rented for parents were all good. Suitable for a stop-by stay.
