Lantern Guest House

Very nice and charming family-run guesthouse. Cosy and nice rooms, well kept and good cleaning. Excellent and very caring staff, always there to make you feel cared for in every way. Great breakfast, served in the most charming breakfast room.

A very nice, comfortable guesthouse a few minutes' walk from the sometimes wet and windy, picturesque seafront, the Lantern Guest House is pretty much one of the best places I have ever stayed! Joseph and the ladies who help him are very helpful, and are happy to give advice about the area. My room was at the front, third floor, via the lift, and the room was very comfortable with a small balcony and a lovely bed with soft pillows and bedding. Joseph's English breakfast was very good - I had to avoid the cake or I would've gone home the size of an elephant, but I walked away from breakfast feeling very full up, and coffee'd up! The bathroom was small but easy to use. There are some good supermarkets nearby, and transport around the island is nearby. Below the guest house is the Lantern restaurant - a very good menu for diners, I had lamb shanks, perfectly cooked, very enjoyable. The area has other great restaurants; the Smugglers Cave does great roast chicken, while the Hot Wok Chinese restaurant cooked me a fantastic chicken with green peppers in black bean sauce. Coffee shops - the small but hip Coffee Circus makes a good brew, and the Candy Cafe on the seafront makes pretty much the best Americano I've had in years (Saquella coffee rocks!) served very well by the polite young people working there!

Joseph and his family were so so so welcoming. Check in is at 2.30 PM however we went there by 7.30 AM itself and still Joseph helped us with a room. It's a nice cozy room. We had a peaceful time there. We slept without any disturbances. One midnight AC stopped working. It's 12.30 AM. Still Joseph came to help us and he got it fixed. Breakfast was the best part. We tasted different pastries. It does feel like a home rather than a hotel because of the hospitality of Joseph and family. Thank you very much Joseph ❤️. The energy you and your family have is extraordinary.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and a couple of minutes to the sea front. The room doesn't have sea views but was cheap.

We enjoyed our meal well and they gave us excellent service. The prices of the meals are affordable. This is the best Restaurant in Marsalforn (Gozo , Malta 🇲🇹)

This is an honest to goodness eating place with service to match - their traditional rabbit in gravy and pasta were delicious and reasonably priced - our host (I believe his name is Kevin) showed experience and friendliness that made our stay pleasant

Ive usually stayed at chain hotels but decided to give a guest house a try for this trip and the Lantern was the best first experience.

This hotel is a long time family business with a very homely and personal feel while still being very professionally run and cleaned.

I had forgotten my charger and while Joseph could have easily told me he did not have one on hand. He personally lent me his own charger. You can tell this guest house is very well taken care of by its owner and everyone should give this place a try

Lovely spot to spend a few nights while you're on holiday in Gozo. Two minutes walk to the beach and scuba centres. Really good service, clean, reliable, great location for walks and restaurants.

Good location, good breakfast and clean room with balcony. Noisy street and small but clean bathroom.
