I have travelled more than 50 countries. I have never seen this kind of hotel in my life. I have travel company. I booked 9 rooms in this hotel for my clients. While booking in agoda it's showing Double room with private bathroom with Air condition. After arrive in hotel... that hotel guy said it's technical problem that's why it accepted booking 9 rooms. But we have only 5 rooms. That too no attached bathroom and no Air condition and no windows. He given rooms in cellar where no proper air. There is only one washroom for 5 rooms. It's horrible experience. That hotel guy said for compensation he will give 3 days breakfast and one day vehicle for sightseeing free. But 2 days he didn't give us breakfast and 1 day sightseeing vehicle also he didn't provide. When I am questioning about this he always threating me that he will call the police. He is a psycho. If you book this hotel it's mean you booked reservation to hell. I am requesting everyone never book this hotel. No windows, no Air condition, no attached bathrooms. Too smelly rooms. Breakfast they give only egg and bread.

this place is awesome, cheap, quiet and clean. good if you have own transportation, although the bus station is accross the road. cool owner as well.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed. Stinking pillows and sheets. Nasty smell from toilet. Ants in the room. Mosquito pond right by the window (see photo). The owner tells you should keep windows shut at night!!!!! (no AC), because of possible theft. On the day I arrived the owner told me that he has no room for me, and that if I don't like the room he occupied which looked more like a depository, I can go and look for another hotel. The owner was very arrogant and never apologized for the situation. He never offered a discount for the situation.
I witnessed an angry quarrel of the owner with two guests who lost 800EUR from their room. The owner didn't give a f... and police told them only: 'again!!! '
The owner tried to cheat me about the exchange rate and tried to exchange EUR at 39 rupees, while the bank rate was 37.

La Dorade is a great option for travellers on a budget who want to experience the real local atmosphere of Mauritius and meet up with travellers from all around the world. Located in the best part of the island, it offers spacious rooms with bathroom and a kitchenette on every floor. The owner is very friendly and takes great care of his guests. The beach in Troux Aux Biches (where La Dorade hotel is located) was awarded the title of the best beach in the world in 2011 and is truly one the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius.

He simply wants earn twice for each room, through online booking he will get money, but the same room he will give it to direct walk-in customer
This the online paid customer will be denied check-in and will loose the booking money and he regrets for booking this hotel ONLINE

This is a very rubbish accommodation, no air conditioning, poor hygiene, a lot of mosquitoes, the owner's attitude is extremely bad, everyone should never stay here again
