We love our stay at the Veranda Hotel and the staff are brilliant and really helpful. We had a nice and warm welcoming. The hotel is really charming and decoration is nice and rustic. We would recommend staying here and definitely coming back again..
The rooms were very clean and comfortable 😊. Thanks to the team who do a really good job.
Special mention to Doushan, nice guy attention to details., Yeshika and Demanshu from the bar really nice people , always makes us laugh and good humour.
The food at the restaurant is good and lots of variety, we had breakfast and dinner.
Maybe much more variety about the meat and chicken for dinner would be great.
The service was good with nice and helpful people.
We had a really nice time at the hotel. Good location and good to walk around to the supermarket, and good local restaurants.
We ve been to Casela, Port Louis and speed boat experience.

The hotel’s beachfront location in Grand Baie immediately stood out. With its white sandy stretch and calm turquoise lagoon, it felt like stepping into a postcard. The décor blends Creole elegance with modern comfort colorful accents, natural textures, and open spaces that let the sea breeze flow through.

Our stay at Veranda Grand Baie was nothing short of perfection. While the hotel is stunningly beautiful and the rooms are gorgeous, it is the people who truly make this place shine.

A special mention must go to the culinary team – the Executive Chef and Chef Sudhir. They went above and beyond to accommodate our Kosher dietary needs, preparing delicious meals with brand-new equipment and the freshest ingredients. Their transparency and willingness to ensure everything was strictly Kosher were deeply appreciated.
The location is unbeatable, and the atmosphere is magical. If you are looking for a hotel in the Grand Baie area, Veranda Grand Baie is the only choice!

For me this is honestly one of the best hotels out there! The gardens are beautiful, the style of the decor is lovely and calming, the food is delicious and fresh, there’s a beautiful view over the bay and across to the peaks in the distance, and the pool looks out onto a cute little beach.
But best of all are the staff! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming - from the restaurant staff to the bar staff the the cleaning staff. I have been here with my son and Arourare, Roukaya, Lindy, Cristella, Elisha, Cristobelle, Kelvin and many other members of the team (too many to name!) at the hotel have spent time with him, making his stay as fun as possible! As a single mum it’s been so relaxing to know that everyone has been looking out for him.
The hotel also has a trampoline, kayaking, a glass bottom boat and snorkelling which is great for kids. And we even had a trip from Santa on Christmas Day! In fact, the entertainment has been great all round - a magic show, shadow puppet show, fire show, sega dancing and some great singers.
We’d love to come back again - thanks so much to all the staff 🩷❤️🧡

A little slice of paradise
This a truly lovely hotel and we had a fabulous two week stay.
The location is fantastic you can easily walk into Grand Baie for dinner or shopping. It was easy to find and ideal for exploring the island.
The views from the pool and the beach are of the stunning harbour, where there is lots of boats coming and going, which was fun to watch.
The hotel grounds and communal areas are very classy and well maintained. The hotel activities were really well organised by an excellent team, we attended rum tasting and a cooking demonstration. Our apartment was lovely and kept very clean, with excellent AC.
All of the staff we met were lovely, they seemed happy to be there and enjoyed talking to the guests which makes for a very pleasant stay. I would especially like to thank the ladies in the hotel shop who looked after me very well. The parking was handy too as we hired a car.
The only tiny problem we came across for the whole stay was the beach bar lunchtime food, it seemed very badly organised, taking up to an hour for food to arrive, it was lovely when we eventually received it.
I would recommend this hotel as a really great place to stay, don’t hesitate to book.

The best out of all the Veranda hotels on the Island. It is almost a boutique hotel with lovely room decor and finishes with a warm tropical ambience. Nice location on a small attractive strip of beach and a great pool. The staff are amazing and certainly an improvement on when I last visited in 2016. The only slight disappointment is the main restaurant where the buffet breakfast is only acceptable and not the vast range and variety of the larger hotels but the dinner buffet is a let down. The salad selection is poor and the mains are not great and lacking in variety and poorly prepared and served.
It is the ambience and decor and staff that make this place amazing only let down by the restaurant.

Staff are all very warm, genuine and friendly. Food is very good. Gardens are very well maintained, like a tropical paradise. Safe, happy child friendly hotel. Nice pool. Location very good but I gave 4 instead of 5 stsrs, as on weekends there is a nightclub nearby that blasts music all night. Animation staff are all fantastic, but could improve on organising more guest activities on the volleyball / badminton play area. In other hotels 20 minutes before a game of football/ volleyball, staff would actively go around asking guests to participate, but not here, so the daily 4pm volleyball game rarely happens.
