The Palmiste Resort & Spa seriously needs to review its communication and hospitality standards.

I was there as a guest on an all-inclusive package, yet upon arrival, my name did not appear on the list. While this was not the fault of the security guard, I did not appreciate his approach, as I was asked to stay aside while he checked with Reception instead of being properly welcomed.

Due to this lack of coordination, I was asked to pay an additional fee to stay until dinner, which was both inconvenient and frustrating.

The rooms are clearly outdated and in need of renovation. The sofa bed was crooked and old, the plastic bin was uncovered and unattractive, and overall the room looked poorly maintained. The bathroom appeared to have been cleaned hastily, and the electrical sockets in the bedroom looked damaged, which is concerning.

Throughout our stay, every time we ordered drinks, we were repeatedly questioned about whether we were on an all-inclusive package. Even the Food & Beverage Manager questioned us twice. When this issue was raised, his response was that they had not received proper communication—an explanation that is simply unacceptable.

I work in the hospitality sector, and I have never experienced such poor service and lack of internal coordination. Management urgently needs to review communication with online booking agencies, establish clear procedures, and implement an effective way to identify guests on all-inclusive packages to avoid embarrassing and frustrating guests.

This experience was extremely disappointing and does not reflect the standards expected of a resort and spa.

"Worst Experience Ever – Absolutely Disappointing"
I recently stayed at Le Palmiste and it was honestly the worst hotel experience I've had. I paid 13,600 for a "full board" package, but everything about it was far from what I expected.
The food was subpar at best, and the service was just terrible. The staff seemed uninterested and almost avoided us since we weren’t all-inclusive guests. The bar was closed to us, and even basic things like water were not provided. We were left feeling ignored and disrespected.
The room, which I was told was "cheaper" than others, was like something out of a low-budget motel. I’ve stayed in much better accommodations for less. The view from the room was awful, and the atmosphere was so uncomfortable that it honestly felt like a waste of money.
I’ve never experienced such poor service in my life. The waiters were constantly hovering around us, making us feel like we didn’t belong. And when we tried to speak to the manager, they were unhelpful and gave us no solutions. It felt like they had no interest in making the guest experience better.
One year of hard work, and this is what I got? A "hotel" with trash performance, no attention to detail, and zero hospitality. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, lot of greenery.
Beach is located in front of hotel, hotel does not have beach view or access directly, you need just to go through one beach bar and beach is 3 mins away.
Room service works everyday, towels and bed sheets are clean.
3 pools and 1 jakuzzi are enough for 7-10 days stay. Food is also great for the dinner, breakfast is a bit monotonous (ham, eggs, cheese, beans..) but dinner is always different and it is really great.

Just a horrible hotel. Food horrible had bad stomachs for two weeks. Management very rude. Rooms dated . All inclusive is not all inclusive. Worst holiday we have ever had. If you want a terrible holiday then stay here.

I haven't had a chance to stay in Le
Palmiste as a guest, but had a wonderful experience anyway!
I was walking through Trou aux Biches area with an intention to rent a car and accidentally found rental here. Everything went so smoothly, rented the car from the reception for 2 days and I really enjoyed it!
Then when I went to return the car I was so lucky to met the manager Ajay, who with his incredible hospitality skills made my holiday with my parents in Trou aux Biches truly memorable!
Big thank you for that beautiful experience and it will be my pleasure to visit you in the future as a hotel guest!

I was worried about cleanliness more than anything and I needn't have worried. Big spacious and very clean room. Great outside areas, very tropical, with 3 pools, good food (only niggles was food was lacking flavour & variety, not very hot, we did have upset tummy for few days?) I have food intolerances which Food/beverage manager Ritish did his very best to accommodate, but we did have to eat out on a few occasions to change things up and satify my pasta craving. Great service, friendly staff and good location.

My husband and I stayed in August at the Residence Le Palmiste in a comfort plus room (with a balcony, it was a triple). The comfort rooms do not have a private balcony. Our room was on the top floor, very spacious with 2 bedrooms, a very spacious terrace furnished with a small table and two armchairs and another small balcony in the other room. A spacious private bathroom. The furnishings are very simple but functional. Every day they came to clean and change the towels. Obviously we are on a tropical island so it is possible to find some geckos on the walls, but they did not bother us. The cleaning staff was always kind! You can use all the services of the Hotel Resort Le Palmiste (swimming pool, restaurant, spa etc.) of which the Residence is part, which is located outside the hotel about 2 minutes away. We had half board. The food is quite varied, mainly Mauritian, Indian and a little international cuisine, certainly quite spicy. In the hotel few people speak Italian. But the restaurant and bar staff, and the room attendants, tried their best to communicate kindly and were always smiling. I would recommend posting the return shuttle departure times to the airport on the bulletin board, especially for those who don't speak Italian, because not everyone may receive messages from their tour operators, and it becomes difficult to understand each other at reception. The hotel is about a 7-minute walk from the public beach of Troux aux Beaches, in our opinion one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, with several kiosks where you can eat, and clean bathrooms and showers on the public beach. We hope to return soon; it's a truly beautiful island, both for its sea, the interior with its forests and many temples, the mix of cultures, and the kindness of the people.

To be avoided. Top staff Room cleaned every day Catering more or less correct. On the other hand everything is chargeable even in all in from 10pm but the bar is supposed to be open until 11pm. No entertainment....entertainer left 5 days ago..spa ok. Director not commercial at all looks down on us. Dropping more than 1000e on drinks etc we made the hotel live well because we were the only ones consuming or all in...and on the day of departure did not want us to have lunch unless we paid..not a gesture made. Honestly I have already been to Mauritius at Pointe au Piment and I recommend the VILLA PLAISIR an extraordinary family 3rd with entertainment. This hotel is really not well kept..10pm hopp everything is closed no background music all day. I have never seen that. I regret having given them 3000e for the stay + 1000e extra.

Accustomed to traveling, we had a pleasant stay in this hotel. Warm and smiling welcome. Spacious and well furnished rooms. Varied and good quality food. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to satisfy you ... Special mention for Jean Philippe. We will come back with pleasure and recommend this hotel. Our notes. Cleanliness: 9/10 Staff and services: 9/10 Facilities: 8/10. Infrastructure and conditions of accommodation: 9/10. Eco-responsibility: 10/10. A big thank you to all this very competent staff.

Friendly with good atmosphere and good staff and cheap. Meal for two was under 1000 rupees including a beer and a soft drink. However the veal we ordered turned out to be liver and the chicken escalope was just a slab of fried chicken.
Toilets and hand wading facilities need serious attention.

Lived in the same complex and can say it's just a 2 star restaurant. But a bad idea having local cuisine while you head to the beech which is just 200m

The meals are quite affordable and worthy a try. The upside down bowl and the salads were a bit of a disappointment though.
