Reviews
Pros: Location is great and it’s right next to the ADO bus terminal so if you’re coming into Oaxaca via buses, this hotel is great.
Room cleaning is ok. Bed is made and water/toiletries are provided everyday.
Cons: The room was small and dated. The shower takes a very very long time to have hot water and the room heater doesn’t work. The TV often stops working and I have to reset the TV box and TV.
We asked the receptionist for a kettle and some cups/glasses (none in room) as my friend was sick and needed some hot water. The receptionist just shakes her head and said no, not wanting to help at all.
The noise level is unbearable. You can hear people walking and talking loudly from your room late into the night and I’m not able to get proper rest.
We needed a taxi on our last day in the early morning to go to airport. So we ask the hotel receptionist to help arrange one the day before. She said it costs 300 pesos and we said ok and agreed. On that morning, another receptionist told us it’s 350 pesos. We told him we agreed with the previous receptionist for 300 pesos but he said it’s 350 pesos. Leaving us no choice, we went ahead with 350 pesos. It’s not about the money but the integrity and honesty of the hotel in question.
Overall: I will not recommend this hotel at all. Room is dated and old, service is bad, integrity and honesty issues. Most of all, it’s expensive and not value for money at all. But honestly, I don’t think the hotel cares as I’ve not seen any replies to the reviews here.
My family member recently stayed at this hotel, and our experience was nothing short of appalling. During their stay, her wallet unfortunately slipped through a crack in the bed. After checking out, she realized it was missing and contacted the hotel.
To our relief, they confirmed they had found it! However, the relief quickly turned to shock and anger. When she went to retrieve her wallet, she counted her money in front of the staff and discovered that ₱5,000 was missing. Their response? "That's your problem." 🤯
Not only were they incredibly rude and dismissive, but they then proceeded to kick her out of the hotel! This is not only unprofessional but a complete invasion of privacy. They had her wallet, knew money was missing, and instead of offering any assistance or showing basic human decency, they treated her with utter contempt and forced her to leave.
We are utterly disappointed and frankly, disgusted by this behavior. They didn't even have the courtesy to call and notify us that they had found the wallet in the first place, and their handling of the situation afterward was beyond unacceptable.
**DO NOT STAY HERE.** If you value your belongings and expect even a shred of respect and professionalism from hotel staff, steer clear of this establishment. We will certainly never return and will be advising everyone we know to do the same. This is a place that clearly doesn't care about its guests. 👎
It's just 15 minutes away from downtown on foot.
They have resturant and tour desk and the hotel and rooms are clean and quiet.
You will love it.
