Gotta say they have a beautiful property with great potential however a management that does not take care at all.
Rooms :are large and lots of potential to be made nice. They have a carpet which is decades old and full of stains. Personally with the weather don’t think they need one but heck if you have one please ensure it’s vacuumed daily and every so often given a proper shampoo. The toilets are old and in need of a proper upgrade. With some imagination and a little effort (application) they can make the rooms 10x nicer.
Food: is good overall. Limited menu but solid. Breakfast has a big spread but they can do with proper bread , some nuts etc. table stakes if you are charging 20 dollars plus imo.
Service: lot of the staff look like old timers and good at what they do. The senior management needs a change though as we had 4 different issues on multiple days and they took for long to acknowledge and fix it. Issues such as toilets being clogged,;faulty plumbing , outside repairs with drilling and forgetful Housekeeping needed a lot of follow up.

Again great property ….just needs more energetic and enterprising owners!

I stayed here for 8 nights in the end - wanted a change of scenery from the grimness so headed to the coast.

I booked this place really for the pool - heater has been broken for months / maybe years and that really describes the place - worn down and kinda grim.

I also thought on the map that it was just outside the Centro by crossing a river …. Wrong that river is a busy highway making driving into Centro a pain and lots of road noise from below.

The room was tired with threadbare carpet and no power outlets by the bed - had to run an extension from behind the second bed ….. both queen-size in a king size room ?

No fridge in the room and couldn’t be provided, same for a kettle.

Decor was old and stained with questionable electrics but with a very good shower in the bathroom, really the only redeeming feature.

It strikes me as a bus tour kind of hotel that has given up trying to remain current or relevant - do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere, Centro is stunning with lots of great choices.

I left early and forfeited two nights but was glad I did

It was a pretty small room, with a big closet. I asked for a quiet room, but all I got was a room right next to the bar. When I called the front desk, the girl said that she tried her best and the bar would close at 1 am, but the music continued to 2 am. Inside the room, it was fine, but had weird stains. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Breakfast was not included and was very expensive. All in all, don’t recommend.

I had booked a so called superior room. Probably this hotel was luxury 15 years ago but it’s not worth the price: everything felt very depressing in the room; old furniture; no lightning; bad internet. Worse is that you could hear all noises from the road as the windows are very old. Reception desk was also not friendly; checked out early

Ended up staying here for a night while on a trip with my wife for a best friends wedding but Amazing service I could not be more satisfied from start to finish even after. Bags were taken in from the beginning straight to our room after check in. Room was clean and with a gorgeous view of the city. Felt welcomed our whole stay. We went down to the pool and towels were easily accessible and great area to swim in and relax. We then decided to have dinner down by the pool which was delicious and service was great. Server was very attentive and polite. At this point I wish we had more time to stay another night. Then ended the night relaxing in bed when we still craved refreshments from dinner and room service was fast. While getting ready to leave the next morning I noticed I left my iPad in the room and when I reached out to a manager through email (Carlos Sosa Navarrete) since calling wasn’t working for me he was really helpful and was able to send a taxi to deliver my iPad to the airport. He was so responsive through email. Honestly best experience I’ve had compared to back home. Don’t have nothing negative to say besides we wish we could’ve stayed longer. I never leave reviews but this place was a must and wasn’t missing an opportunity to let others know of this amazing spot.

Very good location, beautiful view and large gardens that are worth exploring, in my opinion the only thing I would add is a gym. From there everything was excellent, we loved it and of course we would stay there again.
