Hotel Monte Rosa in Cetinje

We were waiting for more than 20 minutes to order a drink and dinner. We asked the waiter, but he didn't come over to take our order while we were waiting. The worst part was that there were only a few tables with guests.

We recently stayed at the hotel. The location is beautiful and quiet. There are mountains and forests all around. The mausoleum is within walking distance. The staff is polite and responsive. The room was very spacious and nice, the view from the window was amazing. The bathroom and bed linen are clean. The restaurant was very disappointing. The food turned out to be not very tasty: it was either completely bland, or it was salted so much that it was impossible to eat. Almost everything floats in oil. The dishes are heavy and monotonous, often French fries serve as a side dish with meat or fish. The vegetable salad was literally chopped up with an axe. The baked potato was rock hard. After eating fish and french fries, the man got a stomach ache. Breakfast is included in the price, but it's horror, not food! Not only was it incredibly meager and consisted of practically nothing but eggs, but it also turned out to be terribly oversalted and literally drowned in oil! The sandwich on the menu was a huge slice of homemade loaf with tasteless cheese and terribly salty prosciutto. You could only eat bread. The drinks from the coffee machine are delicious, but they poured a generous amount of sugar into it. Hot milk with sugar. Hot chocolate also contains a lot of sugar. The juice from the machine is packaged. But the most terrible discovery for me was the dirty cutlery! They never brought clean cutlery, all without exception with tightly dried food from previous eaters. Extremely disgusting!!! The tablecloths are dirty, you can smoke right in the hall at the tables. There is a lot of sugar in bags on the tables, but not a single napkin. Carafes of oil and vinegar are very dirty and sticky and unpleasant to handle. Unwashed forks! I will not tire of repeating about this disgrace. The room was generally fine, but there were problems with the water in the shower: it was either barely warm, then normal, then almost cold again. You need to wash very quickly. There is a blockage in the drain. There are radiators, they don’t heat up much, but you can dry socks and sneakers overnight. In the bathroom there are two bars of soap, toilet paper and two tubes of shower gel. This is all. There are no gowns, disposable slippers or toothbrushes. There is no minibar. There is not even drinking water. They said you can drink from the tap. That's what they did, it seemed normal. There is a small kitchen with a stove, but nothing to cook with. However, there are no grocery stores near the hotel, so there is little point in this kitchen. There is a kettle. There is a second blanket in the closet, which is a huge plus. Among the advantages, I highlight: - friendly, helpful staff - large, comfortable room - gorgeous nature outside the window - Lovcen National Park within walking distance - everything you need is available. The disadvantages include: - dirty cutlery!!!!! This is absolutely disgusting!! - lack of drinking water (only for a fee in the restaurant) - very long wait for orders in the restaurant, we wait for half an hour - dirty carpets and sofa in the room, no slippers, barely warm water in the shower. - meager menu, too greasy and salty food, dirty tablecloths, smokers in the hall - very dirty forks, they never brought clean ones.
