This restaurant in Kotor was such a nice surprise! 💛
The place has a cozy old-town vibe — stone walls, narrow alleys, and friendly staff that make you feel right at home.

The black risotto was rich and full of seafood flavor — definitely a must-try if you like something unique. 🦑
The fish dish with lemon and tomato sauce was light and refreshing, while the fried dough dessert sprinkled with sugar was simple but so satisfying — crispy outside, soft inside. 🍋🍩

Everything felt homemade and full of local charm.
Overall, great food, chill atmosphere, and a lovely spot to enjoy a slow meal in Kotor 😋

Hotel staff in breakfast room were magnificent. Lovely friendly manner and excellent breakfast. Our room was in the second building and unfortunately it was above a jazz bar which was quite loud at night. Our room was also very dark and quite stuffy. However, being in the old town as soon as you step out the door was amazing. I would recommend a stay in this hotel.

This is a small boutique type of a hotel - very charming . Since it is conveniently located inside the old town of Kotor it can get loud at night , especially if you sleep with open windows .
Breakfast was great with buffet items and also a la cart items .
Suggestion - contact the hotel before arriving and arrange to have them come with a golf cart on the north side (river gate ) to get you and your luggage . The streets are very narrow here and hard to navigate during peak tour hours. Also, bring some cat food since you will be making a lot of new fluffy feline friends here .

Really nice staff, drove us and our luggage back to our car in their golf cart. Room was comfortable and we liked the overall medieval vibe. Would definitely stay again!

We ate here twice, as a party of 7. Delicious bruschetta and antipasti platters. Great service and helpful waiter - Alexander. Would highly recommend.

We stopped off at Monte Cristo for a coffee. The waiter had told us they had the best Tiramisu. Naturally we didn't believe him as we'd tried many Tiramisu in London, Paris and many places in Italy and were disappointed at each time. We ordered a Tiramisu and a local delight , Krempita (I think).
What we received was not disappointing at all. The presentation was masive and the taste was fantastic right down to the alcohol in the very bottom. Finally after 7 weeks & many disappointments we finally found the best Tiramisu in Europe. My partner never finishes a desert and to my surprise she gobbled hers up too , after a tiny taste was swapped between us.

Beautiful hotel. Amazing view friendly staff. Highly recommended. We only had a one night stay but wished we’d booked longer.
Very clean lovely pool. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful/ we had to check out early so they prepared a lunch bag with sandwiches fruit and drinks as we missed breaky

This place is beautiful, very old but updated and tight in the middle of the old town!!!! Put your door are charming cobblestone streets and walking distance to the wall and all of the charming squares Montenegro has to offer. A ten minute walk at the mist to the bus station. Our room was big and SUPER quaint!!!

I recommend it 10/10. Very good conditions and perfect location. The service was very good. The food was very tasty and a plentiful breakfast. The receptionists and waiters were very very kind, especially Milena and Mihajlo were so so cute and polite.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Hotel Monte Cristo in Kotor and left with the best impression of this hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by every aspect of my stay.
The staff truly made this experience special - they were incredibly welcoming, always smiling, pleasant, and readily available to help with anything I needed. Their warm hospitality created such a positive atmosphere throughout my visit.
The breakfast was delicious and high quality, offering a great variety of fresh options to start the day perfectly. The hotel itself was impeccably clean, with attention to detail evident everywhere you look.
The location couldn’t be better - perfectly situated for exploring Kotor and enjoying everything this beautiful destination has to offer.
I would absolutely return to Hotel Monte Cristo without hesitation if I visit Kotor again. This was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish.
