Smarts Hotel Agdal

We booked the suite (60m²) on ***********, we received a mormal room and questioned. We have been shown the original room we booked which was unacceptable. Smelly, dirty stains in carpet, just worn down over the years, nevertheless we paid full price as this " is suite-class" judge yourself.... Just a rip-off

They cancelled my rooms at the last minute due to aircons not working and then made me call them multiple times for refund and i am still waiting on the refund as they kept on saying we have not taken money out where it clearly shows in my bank statement that they have charged me for it.

please be very careful >> if you stay at this hotel make sure they give you a receipt >> I booked the hotel with booking.com and stayed at Smarts hotel >> they have now double charged me trying to claim that we cancelled >> we have tried to call them multiple times and they have flat out denied we stayed there without even trying to check their cameras or verify with their staff >> extremely terrible

I was very disappointed in our stay at Smarts Hotel. My husband and I decided to spend our anniversary weekend at this hotel as we had read that it had good reviews in regard to cleanliness. However, the first thing I had noticed when we walked through the door was the mass amounts of stains on the carpet, this in and of its self did not deter us as we noticed them as only stains and the rest of the carpet looked to have been recently vacuumed. It wasn't until I went for a shower that I noticed the algae growing on the shower tiles and the mold on the inside of the toilet. Still, we were not deterred and simply asked the front desk to send someone up to clean it while we went for some dinner. When we returned the front desk tried to tell us that the algae were just stains on the tile and that they had sent someone to clean it, when we got to the room we went to the washroom and wiped the algae with toilet paper to show the front desk that it was still there, they told us that they would send someone up again, this never happened. When we got upstairs we thought that if that was the standard of cleanliness to them then what else wasn't cleaned... We found more mold next to the door and mold also on the damp carpet next to the door to the washroom. We also noticed that the blankets were stained and to top it all off there was no air conditioning or even airflow in the room at all. The only saving grace to our stay was the hot water in the shower and the receptionist that was able to help us in canceling the rest of our stay and giving us our refund in cash for the remaining nights as the payment had already gone through on my credit card. We insisted that we pay for the one night that we were there.

[+] The rooms are nice, but:
[-] worst bathroom. You cannot adjust the shower temperature. After 2-3 minutes the water is hot as hell, and you are unable to wash yourself properly. Feels like hell. This issue must be fixed ASAP.

[+] The rooms are quite.

[+] There is a refrigerator in the room.

[+] There is a free locker in the room.

[-] The breakfast is acceptable, but if you are late, there is no breakfast.

[-] Only one glass in each rooms. Might be an issue if you are with your lover and want to share a bottle of wine. Or you are with the squad.
