Hotel Riu Tikida Dunas - All Inclusive in Agadir

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel did not meet our expectations, especially considering the level of service that was promised.

Prior to our arrival, we requested a cold dinner to be delivered to our room as we were traveling with small children and arriving late in the evening. This was confirmed by the hotel. Due to lost luggage at the airport, our arrival was delayed and we reached the hotel shortly before 1:00 a.m. Although we had completed online check-in, we were required to go through the entire check-in process again, which took approximately 20 minutes. This is unacceptable, particularly when traveling with young children.

The following day, we reported to reception that the shower cabin needed to be cleaned again, as there was a large amount of mold on the shower head holder. Unfortunately, no one addressed this issue during our entire stay.

We were encouraged to use the hotel’s application for all requests. Through the app, I booked a manicure appointment at the SPA but never received a response. I eventually had to go to the wellness area myself, where the SPA staff informed me that they do not use the app for reservations. Another request made through the app — for an iron to be delivered to our room — was never answered.

On the second day of our stay, we requested laundry service as our luggage had been lost and we did not know when we would receive it. The stated turnaround time was 48 hours. After two days, there was still no sign of our laundry. On the third day, I went to the reception desk and was told that payment was required in advance and that only after payment would the clothes be delivered to the room. I asked for the charge to be posted to our room, but this was refused due to hotel policy. As someone who works in a 5-star hotel myself, I find this reasoning unconvincing, as a simple credit card pre-authorization would easily cover such additional services.

Before departure, we requested a lunch package as we were leaving at 6:30 a.m. This was declined, but we were told that breakfast would be available from 6:00 a.m. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:00 as instructed, only to find the doors closed. We waited 10 minutes before a staff member noticed us and opened the restaurant. The early breakfast was disappointing — there was no fresh bread, no coffee, no croissants, and very little was prepared.

The hotel has great potential to offer much more than it currently does. The overall service was very poor. However, I would like to praise the dinner restaurant staff, who were always friendly and smiling. One final note: if cocktails are offered, they should truly be cocktails and not simply drinks with syrup, as they were unfortunately not enjoyable.
