Hotel Heritage in Bhaktapur

We’ve only stayed at this hotel for one night, but what a beautiful property it is!
3* rating does not do the justice…it’s a 5* facility that’s feels like heritage site! Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, restaurant provides delicious and well priced food, its few minutes walk from the historical Durban square. Highly recommended

This hotel is up in the mountains, with a great view of the sunrise if its not cloudy. Since this hotel is on the side of the mountain, there is a lot of walking up and down the stairs from the lobby to our room and for our meals. Food at the hotel restaurant is good, there are choice of buffet and ala carte available on local and western cuisine.

Highly recommended hotel for an excellent stay and hospitality.

I've personally known the owners of Hotel Heritage for years, and they're some of the most genuine and hardworking people I know.

They've poured their hearts into creating a special place for visitors to experience the beauty of Bhaktapur. The hotel itself is absolutely in a fantastic location, at the core of a heritage, right in the heart of the city's rich history and culture.

For the people who are planning to visit, or having second thoughts after seeing the comment section. Here is a straight forward one, to clarify all your doubts.

Don't let a few negative comments fool you. These are from people who are mostly jealous of someone’s hard work and dedication, people who are creating fake accounts to spam and bring down someone’s business.

The entire staff, the owners of this hotel and the hotel at large, is a true gem. That’s for sure, you will be in good hands, along the amazing people who run it.

Warm welcome, clean rooms, delicious breakfast and stunning traditional interiors. The hotel feels like a living museum with such artistic detail. It's just a short walk from Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Would definitely stay again.

We had an unbeatable experience at Hotel Heritage Bhaktapur during our two nights stay. Professional courtesy extended by all staff at all time was really mesmerizing.Extrerior and exterior ambiance of the hotel was truly maintained and real experience of Heritage we feel. Utmost level of cleanliness , rooms ,amenities and restaurant was commendable. Food served during our stay was superb.
We highly recommend this hotel to stay with all propose like family outing , business meeting and conference, Group celebrations, Theme events and others too.

I spent a week traveling through Nepal, and this hotel was where I spent the last few days of my trip. Despite being a three-star hotel, the lowest category I stayed at, it exceeded my expectations.
The hotel has a classic feel, with very typical Nepalese decor. The furniture and wall decorations create a charming space, as if we were in an old, traditional Nepalese home. This authentic style adds a special touch to the experience.
The breakfast service is very varied, with Western-style options, almost all of which were very good. Additionally, upon arrival at the hotel reception, you are greeted with a traditional drink and given a traditional scarf to wear around your neck, which is a very nice touch.
As for the room, it was charming. The beds were comfortable, and the decorations were adorned with typical Nepalese furniture, which contributed to the cozy atmosphere. The television is tucked into an antique cabinet; of course, it's not a flat-screen TV, but since I don't watch TV, I don't mind. Overall, the room feels very comfortable, surrounded by a wealth of decor featuring typical Nepalese objects. Since we're close to the ceramic market, there were many ceramic objects throughout the room, which gave it a special charm.
The bathroom was fine; everything was very clean and bright. Although there are some small details that could be improved, such as the electrical system where the wires for the new lighting are visible, these are only minor aspects that don't affect the pleasant atmosphere of the room.
Additionally, I've noticed that they're expanding the hotel and have built a new building next door; although it's not yet finished, I imagine that the new space will have more modern decor and the most up-to-date facilities. Still, I can't complain at all about what I've seen in the hotel: the hallways and reception are very well maintained.
What really stood out was the customer service. The staff proved to be true professionals, both at the reception desk and in the restaurant and cafeteria. Their kindness and willingness to help made my experience exceptional. Throughout my trip, I've visited many hotels, but the service here was truly outstanding.
I recommend this hotel not only for its quality and charming atmosphere, but also for the excellent service they offer. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Wonderful staff in a hotel which makes you feel as though you have stepped back in time and are staying in a bit of a museum. Just a few minutes walk up the hill to be in the centre of all the sites. Breakfast was outstanding and opening the bay windows and corner window on our room let in the sounds of children’s singing and playing every morning. Loved our stay. 

The staff in the restaurant are very ordinary.
