I appreciated that the bathroom was in the room and the bed was super comfortable.
I didnt like that the room was situated in the back, it must be closed to a generator or similar because during the night the noise was continuous and disturbing.
The place is great, i would recommend it to others, just another room different from 304

Zostel Kathmandu is amazing.
Everyone is very cooperative and all the services provided them were perfect.
And also the food in their restaurant is super yummy.
Overall if you are looking for a budget stay in Kathmandu... this is the best option you can go for.

Not in the league of great hostels like the one at pokhara but decent enough. Soft bed and 24x7 hot water was awesome af. Common room is quite cozy at night.
Have lunch at Roadhouse Cafe. Their pizzas are mouth watering and the best in nepal. Just ask for the pizza to be served on ceramic plate rather than aluminium one.

The Reception Girl (short hair) is not friendly. She don't even greet and smile. There should be a friendly atmosphere at hostel. It's boring !

Decent all round experience. Second time staying. The service has dropped a little.
Unfortunately we got a private room right next to the kitchen, the noise and smells filled our room during service hours!

We wanted to pick a safe bet and went for Zostel for a budget stay for few days of our stay - the location was thamel - it was good considering, there was peace and quiet and absolute commercial area in 5 mins walking distance - however, it's in a very small alley so we had to walk our luggage for some meters.
The rooms were okay, beds were cozy, what was a let down were the bathrooms. They have GOT TO upgrade the tiles, the fittings - eventhough it's a hostel, we'd expect some more than basic amenities and cleanliness.
There's a small cafe within the premises which was decent.
