Backyard Hotel in Kathmandu

I had a wonderful experience staying at Backyard Hotel. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout my stay. The hotel is located right in the heart of Thamel, making it extremely convenient for exploring the area.

A special thanks to Sagar Pandey, who was incredibly helpful, informative, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. His warm hospitality truly made my stay memorable. The entire staff was friendly, and the food at the hotel was delicious.

I highly recommend Backyard Hotel to anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a perfect location in Kathmandu!

The rooms were neat and clean. Perfect for stay, also the foods were delicious!

But food service was worst, staff told Breakfast will be delivered to your room in 5 minutes but took ages (1hour).

Had a memorable stay at backyard hotel. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. The wifi connection was excellent throughout my stay. The front desk is open 24 hrs, which made everything super convenient. Hotel is located in the heart of thamel. Mr Sagar Pandey was incredibly informative and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or travel plans. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food at the hotel was absolutely delicious. Best hotel in Kathmandu Thamel for budget travelers.

I had a wonderful stay at Backyard Hotel in Thamel. The staff were very helpful, especially Mr. Sagar Pandey , who made sure everything went smoothly. The rooms are spacious and clean, and I really appreciated the flexible check-in/check-out times. The travel desk was friendly and efficient, helping me plan local tours easily. They also offer free luggage storage, which was perfect during my short trek. The hotel is in a great location—central but quiet at night. Highly recommended for comfort, service, and value!

Nice stay for 3 night everything was fine.
Staff were super friendly and of welcoming nature, always carrying smile on there face.
Backyard hotel restaurant was so good the foods were delicious.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Backyard!

I stayed at Hotel Backyard in Thamel and had a great experience. The location is perfect — right in the heart of Thamel, close to everything. My room was clean and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked really well throughout my stay.

Breakfast was delicious every morning, with good variety and fresh ingredients. The hotel also has a travel desk, which made it super easy to book sightseeing tours around Kathmandu. Everything was well-organized.

The staff were all friendly and helpful, and I especially want to thank Sagar Pandey for going above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. His local knowledge and hospitality really stood out.

Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kathmandu — great value, great service, and a great location!

Felt totally safe here. Staff was helpful and good English. I had some tour problems and they solved them all and even suggested a trip which was great. The price was unbeatable location perfect to get around thamel. It is a little worn but that gives it beauty not the opposite, I had everything I needed. A working AC. My own bathroom plenty of room to put my things clean sheets comfortable bed .hot water shower.

Amazing spacious rooms with very strong air conditioner, very clean, very nice stuff. Big Seating area down and supplies like tea and coffee and water. One of the best budget hotels I ever encountered. Highly underrated in my opinion in the total review score. Room 203
