This place with stunning views of the mountains and city is perfect for watching the sunset and sunrise. The air is crystal clear, flowers, birds – in a word, it's a garden of Eden.

The pagoda and Shiva Temple are nearby, about a half-hour walk away.

The downside is that it's far from the center; you'll have to wait about half an hour for a taxi, which costs about 1,200-1,500 rupees one way to the lakeside.

The mountain-view cabin was cold in January. The water was ice-cold, and there was no hot water.

The air conditioning was on, but at one point it turned off. It worked again after a while, but the room cools down very quickly.

Also, if it's cloudy, there are no views.

This retreat is a magical place. The most beautiful view one could wish for in Pokhara. It takes roughly 30 minutes to arrive by car from either the airport or bus stop.

The view of Himalayas with gorgeous sunset and sunrise is the reason we chose to stay here. We spent 4 days 3 nights here and we were blessed with breathtaking views. One particular day was fully clouded so it really depends on luck. Stay longer!

The rooms get pretty cold in December and luckily they are equipped with heater. I think the bed is just okay, definitely could replace with better ones. The shower takes a awhile to heat up and that's okay but i think they should add a tray to place toiletries for easier shower. The room also need more hooks or a wardrobe to better hang our clothes.

The retreat also has a little garden where they plant vegetables. I love going up there to see what they plant. There is a short hike down the retreat to reach a look out point and the world peace pagoda.

The restaurant serves good breakfast. Though i wish they could serve all items at once instead of coming out 1 by 1. The dinner menu is slightly expensive and there are some hits and misses. I would recommend the jhol momo, thakali set, pork chilli, chicken manchurian. I think the soup options are way too overpriced for the portion.

Lastly, i would like to commend on all staffs here for the exceptional service and hospitality. We even got a small gift that came with Nepali ritual i believe as a blessing. All the best to the team and continue to make this place better.

Breathtaking location with a view of the Annapurna range, away from the hustle bustle. Gorgeous sunrise and sunset views, highly recommend for a staycation. But, amenities are limited and cleanliness could be better. We checked into the room and went to explore the property for about 30 minutes. On returning found a rat in the bathroom.

Hotel staff did give us a change of room, but seeing a rat in your room on the first night of a vacation is not the experience you want. Service was good, breakfast spread is very nice, but other food options could be better.

Location is stunning, and to watch the sunrise over the Himalayas from a jacuzzi on the balcony was awesome. Premium room was definitely worth the extra money.. Chef Is great as the Ordered food was lovely , but the buffet breakfast was poorly organised and lots of ítems on the drinks menu unavaulable or sold out, wine not available by the glass, no coke (on one day) and the only drink on the specials board was Tequila sunrise but they had no tequila.Staff are just too nice and meek to ger mad at ,they just need a catering manager. Porter security guy carries all your cases up lots of stairs, managers very friendly. Stay in Lakeside,Pokhara before going to the retreat as to see it all lit up from the other side of the lake is quite a sight and a relief that you have moved on. Overall. probably are nicest stay in Nepal

It's on top of a mountain and the view is amazing. We were able to enjoy the view from the open terrace.
All the staff were very kind.
They took me to see the sunrise, took me to a nice restaurant, and responded appropriately to my requests. It was really convenient because they also accommodated cancellations.
Although it is located deep in the mountains, they arranged transportation as desired so it didn't feel inconvenient at all.

It was a very good memorable stay. I will definitely come back next year. Thank you so much!💕

A resort with a great view of the mountain range and fewa lake. Rooms are big and spacious. Air is clean as it can be. Last 300m road is narrow and unleveled, so, it's difficult for new drivers to reach the hotel on a four wheeler. Personally, Would rate this place a 5 star if the prices were a bit cheaper.

Pleasure of staying at Raniban Retreat Pokhara ,nestled in the hills of Pokhara, and it was an unforgettable experience. The resort offers stunning views of Fewa lake and lovely fishtail mountains that instantly put you at ease. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed to blend with the natural surroundings. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. The food was another highlight—fresh, flavorful, and catered to a variety of tastes.

The only good thing about this resort is location!

Our so-called premium room bathroom didn't have locks. Made a call about it and they didn't send anyone to fix it. Understaff dining area. My dal bhat refill took forever. No welcome drinks on arrival. Not worth it! Swimming pool was dirty! Jacuzzi was just above our room and water from the jacuzzi was leaking to lower walking area. Premium room didn't meet the premium standard. Century old furniture, small room, old cupboards, no fridge, no dryers...
