I had an extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience at Glacier Hotel and Spa, Pokhara, on December 31, 2025. I booked and fully paid €91 for a “Deluxe Room”. Upon arrival, the hotel staff initially refused to accommodate us, stating that it was New Year’s Eve and all rooms were fully occupied, despite the fact that our reservation had been confirmed and paid in full in advance. After lengthy discussions, we were finally given a room. However, it became immediately clear that the hotel does not actually have a Deluxe Room category, which the staff openly admitted, again blaming the New Year’s holiday. The room provided did not correspond in any way to a Deluxe Room or to the description shown at the time of booking. Specifically: • The room was essentially an attic space, not a proper hotel room of the stated “Deluxe” category • Extremely poor lighting, making the room dark and uncomfortable • Living conditions were significantly worse than what was paid for • Unsanitary conditions, including a visibly dirty pillow • No electric kettle, despite this amenity being clearly listed, and no possibility to make tea or coffee • The hotel staff immediately acknowledged that the room did not meet the Deluxe standard or guest expectations Additionally, Wi-Fi was explicitly stated as available in the room, yet in reality it did not work at all. Despite multiple complaints, the hotel refused to provide the missing electric kettle, and neither the staff nor hotel support took any meaningful action. As a result, we were forced to spend New Year’s Eve without internet access, which is a serious and unacceptable failure to meet the advertised conditions. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Room was ok, airco failure was fixed, elevator was broke, but the worst was the breakfast. No buffet, coffee after 20 minutes and then few pasteries with marmelade and a not so tasty omelet. Looks like the place has had better times, this was really not good enough for this money. Job to do management!

Mothballed, no elevator or staff. Kitchen and bar shuttered. I did not register and found somewhere else. To his credit the manager gave me a full cash refund. Pity, as I have stayed there several times and if it reopens I would reconsider

The hotel is not as advertised on *******. We got there and learnt that breakfast was not included, even though it says that it is on *******. We also saw that they have closed their kitchen and turned the bar into an art sale space so there isn’t a cozy place to hang out or eat at the hotel. We got a junior suite so that we could take a bath after a long trek around the Annapurna circuit but the tub stopper didn’t work so it wouldn’t hold water. The elevator was also out of commission. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and the room was clean. Overall, this is more of a glorified tea house rather than a hotel and definitely not worth over $100USD per night
