Grand Hotel Monopole in Valkenburg

BIKERS STAY AWAY!
The rooms are poorly furnished and have almost zero sound isolation (so be prepared for sleepless nights if you dont have sleeping buds). Also, hotel staff is rude and unprofessional.
If you are on a bike holiday in Valkenburg, then upon arrival they make you sign a legal document stating that your $$$ expensive race bike has to be in a dirty shed with no cameras/security and they have no liability for damage or if its stolen. No matter the condition of the bike, you're not allowed to store it with you in the hotel. Thanks to this policy, I managed to get a severe crack on my bike frame when someone carelessly forced another bike next to mine, in the shed. Of course, the hotel had zero liability for this.
So this is my last stay at this hotel. I suggest staying away from this place!

REPLY TO THE HOTEL OWNER'S RESPONSE:
Locked area does not mean a secured one, when there are no cameras, you have no legal liability and numerous people have access to key. You're right that this hotel is not for bikers, which is a pity since Valkenburg is a top destination for road cycling. I hope more people know the truth before booking a room (and that too with a strict cancellation policy) and falling into this trap
