Spent couple nights at this castle and really enjoyed the surrounding, the hotel and the restaurants. Castle is located around 10 km off Maastricht. It is a great place to spend a relaxing weekend. Rooms have been recently remodeled . Food was wonderful.

Truly loved our stay here. The staff were so kind and friendly and the rooms and grounds were so beautiful. The spa was also so relaxing and had all you needed. The church attached to the property is the most beautiful i've ever seen and really hope to visit again in the spring/summer to see everything in bloom! Definitely a must visit if you are in the Maastricht area!

We went here as a present for our wedding and it was absolutely amazing. They upgraded us from a standard room to a suite (probably because they knew why we came) which was so lovely of them. Ok Smelled terrible in the room. Awful room freshener. Maybe to try to cover up the smell of cigarettes/tobacco in the toilet? Staff were very kind. We were waked up early in the morning where they came in to check our towels?? Also not able to put occupied on the door… Overall ok place. Not coming back though.

the breakfast was bad, the tables were dirty, all of the plates were dirty as well. I booked rooms for 2 adults (costs a bit more) and only one room with one adult, but they told me i booked all the rooms for one person. So i needed to pay extra breakfasts for the missing people. The window in my parent’s room didn’t close (room103). The staff was friendly. The location was pretty.

The room l had was fantasticly organized, well cleaned, and beautiful ladies eveywhere. Also the guys at the bar were kind and really helpfull. Good service. I was surprised by the service, they have such a international team from everywhere of the world. I can just recommend the place✌️

The room: one of the bedside lights was not working. The sink plug was not working correctly. So wasting water. Restaurant: Soupe: was very disappointing. Main meal: items not cooked correctly. Potatoes for my meal came very late as I was finishing. The potatoes were very greasy. But the dessert was fantastic.

Building and rooms are charming, located close to the centre of town, and with large and stylish pool and hot tub (warm enough for children), and a sauna. Breakfast is varied and fresh, with a beautiful view. Cannot wait to return!

The hotel is in need of renovations, it is very old and tired looking in many places. The room we had was a nice size and was clean, however there was a bad smell which I think was coming from the carpet. The staff were all good that we came across and the breakfast was good enough.

The hotel was okay, but it didn’t fully meet our expectations. The rooms were very basic and lacked comfort and character. The breakfast and meals were also quite simple, with little variety or flavor. However, we did enjoy the pool — it was clean and a nice place to relax. Hotel was located in Central location so was ideal for visiting the various town attractions. Much of the central area was pedestrianised and flat.It was a lovely place to visit. We stayed at the Walram Hotel , friendly staff, accommodation clean, very good value for money.

Stayed at hotel as part of a coach party. Rooms are basic but adequate. The evening meal was delicious. All cooked perfectly. I had the fish which was cooked to perfection and my husband had the chicken which was tender and not dried out. In addition there was a salad bar and soup which was very tasty as well. All washed down with a glass of white wine from the bar.

A lovely hotel set in fabulous Valkenburg. Staff are incredibly polite, friendly & accommodating and can't do enough for you. The hotel decor is plush, modern & has a welcoming vibe. We're here with Parrys International, and have been treated extremely well, making our New Year 2026 Experience one to remember.

Stayed as part of a Caledonian Travel coach tour. Room was fine if rather small with limited storage space. Kettle and coffee sachets etc provided. I had a nice view of the market in the square. Rooms were really well cleaned each day. Excellent heated swimming pool although very limited changing facilities and only public showers - wish I had brought a robe. You need to bring down your own towels...

Ups & downs for this hotel. Not a double bed just 2 singles shoved together. Door to bathroom far too close to the toilet. Shower/bath very high off the floor. No view of any sort other than half of the hotel building. We found the room clean and comfortable although the heating/cooling unit in the room slightly noisy. An additional electric portable radiator was available in the room which maybe was there due to this issue. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice hotel near the station, buzzing restaurant and bar and lots of wine. Breakfast was comprehensive and plentiful, staff lovely, parking in station across the road was inexpensive, town has multiple dining and drinking options and is only a short walk away.

Across the street from RR station. 15 minute walk to main Christmas markets, excellent staff. RR Station unmanned Sunday mornings, which was a hassle when my train got cancelled and i had to "wing it" to get to Brussels.

I enjoyed the proximity to the train station. The hotel is located right next to Valkenburg train station and just 10 minutes by train from Maastricht train station. The double room was spacious. The walls are painted dark brown. They seem intimidating. The refrigerator didn't work. In the room I found three worried beetles. The price during the Vrijthof concerts in Maastricht is overpriced. It's a nice cute hotel. It is best to stay if you have to visit MECC just on the station away. The station is right in front of the hotel. Everything is good.just one suggestion if they can increase items on the breakfast menu, it would be great. Keep normal.bread and toaster, please. It's a wine restaurant, so there's not much option for lunch or dinner.

Nice quiet room with nice shower room and comfy beds

Nice cozy place pre is the free parking as a guest. The building is a bit old as you can hear the upstairs neighbours walking in their room. Bcs of the wooden floors probably. The breakfast is very nice plenty of choice But overall no complaints and a pleasant base for a few days in Valkenburg

Good hotel, in the room there was a bad smell, but ok

Good location reasonably priced friendly staff- when you can find them - the restaurant was bright and modern. The food was exceptional but a limited menu Its a short walk for the Christmas markets. However. The big let down for us was the room. Very small and outdated no bedside cabinets as there was no room. No where to hang cloths so we had to live out of a suitcase.

Just a few days away, so we booked quite last-minute. Upon arrival, we were given a lovely room on the ground floor due to elevator repairs/maintenance. We chose this hotel for: its central location, the ease of parking (paid), the junior suite on the ground floor and its large bathroom with bathtub (recently renovated), the comfortable bedding, the breakfast buffet. We still regret the poor soundproofing (noise from the street, neighboring rooms, corridors... in short, it's noisy, but fortunately it's very quiet at night) and the quality of the services...

This hotel is situated right in the middle of the city center. It's quite outdated. The rooms and breakfast room make you feel like you walked into a place in the 70s. Not in a bad way though because the rooms are well-kept and equipped with a smart flat screen TV. If you prefer a quiet place, don't stay here because you can hear the loud music from the club next door until late in the evening but...

Very clean and comfortable, ideal location to walk to the many great restaurants. Small parking next to the hotel, which is very convenient and rare for the area. Breakfast had everything you needed. Complimentary tea and coffee for your stay. The room was basic and a little dated, however had everything you needed, was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable, which is all you need.

The bathrooms are too small. But the rooms are good for a short stay and just sleeping. It feels historic and charming. Has decent breakfast.

Not perfect but ok. Room was big enough but the bathroom was very small. Could use some more cleaning. The breakfast is not for vegetarians. You can eat only fruits as they don’t have any veggies. We had to leave our bicycles on the street so had to take out all the bags from them.

The hotel was very clean, host and hostess very nice. Excellent hotel, quietly located and yet in the center. Breakfast was good and neatly prepared. Enjoy a drink on the terrace, wonderfully quiet. The only downside was that the mattress was a bit too soft for us, but that is very personal.

It's so busy for Friday evening before Christmas but we managed to get our table without reservation. And luckily not too long wait for our meal. Our steak was perfect, all delicious. Our dessert also excellent.

Very good food. I ordered a steak, the fish and shrimp platter. The steak was very good, the fish platter was excellent. The shrimp were a bit drowned in the sauce. The red wine, negro amaro, was very good.

This is a small hotel within 10 minute walking distance of the town centre. It's very cosy, with the seasonal decor (December stay) adding to the armosphere, and clean, and the owners are very hospitable and helpful. Heating system is great; you'll feel warm and toasty with -1 outside. Breakfast consists of a huge spread that gets you going well into the afternoon.

Great dinner place! We came in and the staff is very friendly and attentive! The pesto linguini is amazing, tastes like you are in Italy! Highly recommend eating here.

We had dinner with a group of 30 people. The order was taken quickly. The starters came quickly and the main courses were delivered on time. The quality of the pizza and pasta was very good. Typical Italian (thin, large pizza) and large pasta portions. Very good quality. This is what a good and pleasant meal must be like.

We were given a room in the "koetshuis" which is not worthy of even a one star hotel! Definitely not worthy of the Fletcher chain. Broken cupboard and the room in urgent need of an upgrade. I also have the distinct feeling that when making use of Fletcher discount vouchers, you are shoved into the mudroom! This experience we did not enjoy and will never return to this location.

The place is usually quite. Restaurant has got a good set of musical instruments for live performances. A few games and this place comes alive in evening. Hosts are friendly and will give good advice about surroundings.

A spontaneous booking at de Heek, we stayed for two night. The room was pleasant, price and location good, but the best of all was the service of the new owners. They are so friendly and have lots of good advise, one feels so welcome.

We had a great stay in a simple yet tidy room. The temperature was just right, and having a small fridge was super convenient. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was excellent. While €100 for one night felt a bit pricey, it was reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The only thing to note is that the tourist tax (€5) had to be paid in cash. Parking was free and conveniently located...

A nice stay in this place. Cozy inside the room but sometimes you can hear people walking or doing something upstairs. The breakfast was amazing and tasty. I fully recommend to include it. Clean spacious rooms. Fully equipped. The breakfast is good, wide choice. A nice half hour walk to the center of Valkenburg. Nice quiet hotel. Downside, there are some tiles on the terrace on the first floor. Makes it a bit noisy. Other than that, the hotel is in good order. Worth repeating 👍
