Location is good Facilities not good at all. Basic things were not provided, for example: slippers, electric kettle, tea , coffee, shampoo, water bottles. When asked for water bottle, their answer was you can drink from tap - but we don't drink from tap and if a customer requests something, you as a hotel need to fulfill that. Our overall experience was very bad.

Hotel nice, room very basic and small, no tea making facilities which for this day and age is very unusual, the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor so we had to put a towel down.
Breakfast was lovely, and had everything you could expect to start the day
We have an electric car and the hotel has charging points, the lady on reception had absolutely no idea how they worked or if we could charge our car anywhere else. The lady in the TI was nice and pointed us in the right direction, when we got it sorted I told the lady on reception that if anyone else asked about charging where to go. She just rudely said well your the first to ask and walked off. They’re are many other hotels in valkenbourg to choose, but this has the swimming pool and free parking.
A 5 min walk into town is easy and the train station is 2 mins away.
Would I stay here again…probably not, only because of the choice of hotels in the town.

Good Location easy access to motorway and walkable to town centre in 5/10 minutes which has some lovely restaurants, Good power shower. Nice outside space and secure gated parking on site.
Slow Wi-Fi in our room just 1 bar but maybe different for other rooms. Decor needs update and carpets etc bathroom was ok ish but could do with a thorough clean. Very strange Bar payment system having to collect tokens from reception to pay for any drinks in bags of €20 euro. Drinks 8 euro for half litre beer. Breakfast was buffet mostly cold as the food warmers didn’t give much heat but a few different cold options.

We recently stayed at Hotel Schaepkens in Valkenburg with a group of 40 school students on a music tour, and the experience was excellent. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout, and the hotel had a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Rooms were clean and functional, with good shower facilities, though air conditioning would have been appreciated during the warm weather. The hotel is very well-suited for school groups, with group-friendly dining arrangements, a wide variety of excellent food options (including for dietary needs), and a private social space that allowed our students to relax and rehearse without disturbing other guests. The location is ideal—just a short walk from the town centre and close to local attractions like the city caves and chairlift/toboggan run. A highlight of our stay was when the staff offered us the hotel garden for a performance after one of our concerts was rained off. They even provided snacks and sweets for the students afterward, which was a lovely gesture. I would highly recommend this hotel to other school or music groups for its excellent facilities, central location, and outstanding hospitality.

Smelled terrible in the room. Awful room freshener. Maybe to try to cover up the smell of cigarettes/tobacco in the toilet?

Staff were very kind. We were waked up early in the morning where they came in to check our towels??
Also not able to put occupied on the door…

Overall ok place. Not coming back though.

Stayed for a short break visiting the Christmas markets. Good location and accessible to the town. Hotel rooms a little dated but clean and warm with housekeeping daily. Food good choice and plenty. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good stay for a few nights.

Hotel looks nice from outside, plenty of parking. Good location only 10 mins walk downhill into Valkenberg centre. 2 lifts avaliable. We stayed on the 1st floor, heard music noise from the bar but this didn't go on too late fortunately. The room had a strange, musty smell that was not nice. Bed conformable. Cold on arrival but did warm up when we turned the radiator up. Bathroom could do with an update. Shower gel and hand-wash provided in a dispenser. Evening meal was a buffet and the food was all very good but nothing was labelled. Hard to tell which meat to select as no idea what it was. Dangerous for anyone with food allergies, nuts mixed with the cheeseboard, eggs and fish in salads, no labels on any food items. The most annoying thing was the ridiculous token system for drinks. To buy drinks you had to purchase 25 tokens for €20. Only reason that it is not 20 for 20 is to make it difficult to work out what you are paying for each drink, no reason not to sell 20 tokens for €20 and adjust tokens' cost for drinks. We were told off for taking our own bottle of water into restaurant. Overall decent for a short stay but not sure I'd return

Food ok to be fair. Evening meals buffet style unfortunately nothing marked up so not really sure what your eating. Tokens for drinks bit of a pain Would only provide water if you purchased 2 drinks... Room very very basic.(soulless) Beds very tired. Linen very poor quality. No tea making facilities. Cheapest thinnest smallest towels ever found in any hotel anywhere. Room was cold and damp on arrival. Did warm and dry after heating put on after day or so. Swimming pool looked nice however didn't use. For us the room should be everything, however was no where near. Would never recommend.

We were comfortable enough here, but it wasn't fantastic. Pros are a nice location - by the train station and a short walk to downtown Valkenburg, and far enough out that it's quiet. Breakfast was good. Nice view from the room as well. Cons were no air conditioning, small rooms, peculiar smell to the room. Recommend for a short stay in Valkenburg but not a long one; the room feels cramped and stuffy quickly. Not sure if we'd stay there again.
