Easy to get here by tram or metro. Tram stop is a 1 minute walk to the hotel. Receptionist was very friendly. We had a family room which was very clean, spacious and there was a nice bath. The hotel has a spacious lounge area where you can relax, have some free coffee/tea and play some pool.

Close to central Amsterdam. Transit is right outside of the door. Staff is friendly. Wifi is good. Rooms are tight. Common room has free pool table and coffee. Cold water bottles are available for free at the counter.

The only thing that bothered me was that hotel was advertised as free parking but that wasn’t the case. Hence 4 stars instead of 5

Small and dark room.
We stay for two nights at 0 floor room (just in front of the counter), found hair on beds while check in. No tissue refill on the following days.
The counter chat loudly in midnight, while some guest back lately, they chat, laugh together until morning. We could not sleep, it was just better than stay on street.
We only saw the highly recommend comments on Booking.com...then book it..........did not check others on Google....
It was the most terrible experience among our trip in Amsterdam.

+ Great location, room not a bad size for Amsterdam. Chill out area downstairs with free hot drinks nice.
- No breakfast included, booked double room but got 2 single mattresses with separate sheets.

Nice hotel in a nice area. No much fancy but it's clean and have a good beds and showers. It's located few steps away from a tram stop that takes you to Dam in few minutes. Free tea/coffee available 24/7 in the lobby. Smoking isn't allowed.

I have never stayed in this part of town before but was pleasantly surprised how easy it is to get into Dam Square via Tram from right outside the hotel! I found it friendly, comfortable & clean. Bathroom a bit minky but nothing to worry about. The staff were friendly & efficient - I will definitely be staying here on my next trip to Amsterdam.

We went over new year and were glad to find accommodation. The Savoy is ideally located within walking distance from the Heineken experience, the canal boats and the bus station. Our room needed some initial maintenance such as globes not working but this was promptly sorted out. We received value for money and enjoyed the stay.

I check back periodically on this hotel, I'm planning a trip to Amsterdam on spring break. The staff of this hotel have lots of friends to help with their google ratings, but you will be extremely hard pressed to find a worse hotel in all of Europe. As a microbiologist, this hotel is a class A biohazard and should be demolished. There are pathogenic fungal hazards in each room. Go to this hotel at your own peril.

This is a basic yet clean hotel. There is a tram stop nearby and lots of bars, bakery shops and restaurants in walking distance. The main let down is no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and you only get 1 pillow each. TV stations are limited. I wouldn't book this hotel for future visits however I have stayed in worse places.
