Where to stay in South Holland

We recently stayed at the hotel while attending a family funeral, having travelled from London. Yolanda and her team showed exceptional kindness, empathy, and professionalism. She understood the difficult circumstances we were under and went out of her way to make our stay as smooth and comfortable as possible.

Ok hotel if you need to be there nearby. Room was clean but not free from outdoor noise. Could hear people walking through the hallway, banging their doors or flushing their toilet. Fridge in the room made a lot of noise. Hotel is situated near the highway so in the evening/ night you can hear loud cars / motorbikes opening up their throttles.

Nice Hotel for staying the night. Rooms were clean, sheets fresh and bathroom also clean. The only minus point was the fridge in the room, which was extremely loud and could not be switched off, even as it was not used as a mini bar.

My stay at the Hampshire Hotel in Delft was mixed. The location is convenient, but parking is very difficult, which adds some frustration if you’re traveling by car. This was a great hotel…super close to the historic centre of Delft yet easily accessible from the motorway. Staff were very kind and friendly. Rooms had fun decor and good amenities.

Close to center of town and freeway access. Parking is a problem: restricted access to parking lot and garage is expensive. Our room had a very small bathroom with clumsy access to the shower.

We had a wonderful room overlooking the garden. Beds were very comfortable. The staff was very attentive and the food in their restaurant Sophia was excellent. The hotel is on a quiet street but close to shopping, palaces, and restaurants. Can’t wait to return!

Quaint hotel near city center for food and shopping and close to tram service. Hotel was very clean and residence rooms were nice with plenty of room.

The hotel offered an overall satisfactory stay. Breakfast was acceptable, with a reasonable selection. The location is a bit far from the city center, which may be inconvenient without transport. The room was fine and met basic expectations. Staff were polite and adequate. A plus point is the availability of a car park, which is convenient for guests with cars.

This location is good for younger travellers who are travelling light as there is a distance between the hotel and the nearest train station. Also the nearest amenities like grocery store and cafes located in the Eramus University campus across the road, more senior travellers may feel out of place when patronising. It is good and comfortable hotel. I was travelling to Rotterdam from UK with my family so this hotel is quite close to the port.

It was super luxury for its price, beds were both comfortable and was very worth the drive

The location is good, close to the central train station, city hall, large supermarkets, and there are many places to eat around.

Check in was quick and the front desk staff was warm and friendly. However, after staying for two nights, the room was not cleaned and I had to clean it myself.

A really pleasant stay as the rooms are spacious and amenities are very satisfactory. The location is quiet and within walking distance from the sightseeing places. The staff is friendly and responsive to our requests. We also had an enjoyable and delicious dinner at the restaurant.

It's a pretty good hotel in Europe, with large rooms and comfortable beds. However, the hotel details page says that slippers and toiletries are provided, but they weren't available on-site. They are optional and you need to ask the front desk for them, and even then, they may not be provided.

Except parking costs 30 a night, everything else is good

It was great. Really central. Literally in the middle of the city. Very convienent to the metro. All 3 beds were great and there were no sofa beds.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel PLAZA Premium Den Haag City Center! The location is perfect — right in the heart of the city and within easy walking distance of shops and attractions. The hotel is spotless and well maintained, and my room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and proffesionel. The location was great. The front desk was nice. We only did one night so we didn't use all the facilities like the gym. We did get the breakfast and it was good. I like what they had for choices. My only issue was the room size. The rooms are nice but barely room to move around with two people.

A really decent hotel for the price. Very difficult to find any fault with it really. Location - amazing. Right in the town centre but no major noise issues as you'd expect. Easy to reach from the train station. Rooms - very comfortable and clean. Staff - didn't interact with them much but they were very welcoming and professional. The cleanliness of the open areas was poor. Cleaning staff in morning close to rude well before check out time. Check out was grumpy when we asked for luggage storage. Only upside was the woman serving in the sports bar who was amazing.

You book a room at the new Fletcher Hotel Rotterdam AirPort. But is then sent to the other side (other hotel from Fletcher). Room was dirty, didn't seem cleaned. Someone was supposed to come to the room, but he never came again.

Top location, extensive breakfast choice. No refrigerator in the room. Paid parking, but you can drive in and out without restrictions.

Close to arrival at Airport. Easy walk when I was tired. Staff were friendly, intelligient and efficient. Comfy bed, great view, nice atmosphere. Nice clean room. Decore etc good. I have had some stressful experiences in Schipol and Rotterdam is overall a very nice option. This hotel was a nice place to land and rest after a long flight. I will defnitley stay here again.

Breakfast costs €16.50 if you order it directly at reception upon check-in, but you end up paying €19.50. Why? None. You simply have to pay €19.50. But the breakfast is very good.

We spent one night at this hotel. It's an amazing historical building (Headquarter of HAL - Holland Amerika Lijn) and you see and feel the historical atmosphere whether you're in hall or in the room itself. Service was great although we didn't had any special requests. The breakfast was nice with a good mix of various options.

Wonderful stay in Rotterdam, lovely city. The hotel.New York provides a classic feel, straight back to the 40ties. Our tower room had great views. We enjoyed a blizzard, and a good glass of wine.

It was closed because of lockdown. But it is really beautiful on the outside. Also, I had the best hot chocolate there! The coffee is open for order and pick up.

Really nice hotel with a great location. The hotel has such a nice aesthetic, and the theme really fits the old port vibes. The room was really nice and bigger than we thought it was going to be. The prices are a bit steep, and there is a bit of traveling to get to the sights of the city.

Although the hotel is close to the city, public transportation is not convenient and it is suitable for self-driving. There is no water in the room and you can only drink tap water. The overall hotel price is still very competitive.

I booked for entire bed but got 2 small separate ones

The room is very clean and spacious. It is cost-effective. The most important thing is the large parking lot, which is free.

The hotel is not far from the airport, it takes 15 minutes to walk, and it is a little hard to find. Due to the flight delay, I arrived at the hotel at 3 am. We stayed for one night over the weekend. This hotel is not in the centre of Leiden and bed + bfst for 2 guests at nearly 220 Euros, I thought was super expensive. Staff acted like they don’t want to be there and the rooms are old. Breakfast was nice, but would not stay again.

The staff were so helpful and gave plenty of advice on where to visit and how to get around. The overall feel of the hotel is very special - the exposed brick, the wooden beams on the ceilings, the areas to sit and relax with views on the water. Location could no be better - 6min walk from the train station and similar to the town square. Would highly recommend this hotel.

It is more like a smart hostel so not there were not many people helping, but our CityHost Jed was very helpful and helped us with our check-in. The facilities were very clean and complete with everything one would need for a stay, including towels, shampoo and even a bath robe was provided. It was worth the money and would definitely stay there again!

Great location, right on the beautiful beach. Shame about the ongoing construction work, but can't be helped. We had a lovely big family suite with a small kitchen and views of the dunes. The hotel has a little swimming pool to enjoy too.

The location is very good. I would expect more transparency about prices and conditions. In front of the hotel there are big project built, making A LOT of noise. Would be fare to inform us in advance, and not book the rooms facing that side. In addition, the breakfast price is different when you reserve in advance VS on the day, which we DID not know. The girlfriend and I stayed here a week ago. It’s a great location right on the beach, The staff was really friendly and the room was amazing. It had great ocean views and a nice big bathtub inside the room. Actually a pretty nice hotel, especially from the inside. Well furnished spacious rooms with balconies with fine views. The furniture could be more modern, however it is well maintained. Breakfast is tasty with a large choice of food, however the scrambled eggs are obviously made from powder, so stay away from them.

When visiting I was very gobsmacked of how clean and well presented this place was. I was without a doubt impressed and amazed at the same time! Truly an amazing place and experience. I was in here for a 10 day autumn holiday on my "Discover the Neterlands" trip. The hotel very near to the Beach of Den Haag, Scheveningen Beach (about 5 min walk). The city center, Den Haag Centraal station, Den Haag HS station about 20-30 min with public transport (bus and tram station before the hotel :) ). Amazing hotel and a great stay. We had a top floor loft room facing the sea (try request when booking) huge balcony with table chairs and sun loungers. Rooms were cleaned daily, and towels changed. In retrospect it was a bit far from Ahoy, but otherwise a great hotel!

The location is very good, perfect option for easy transportation, there were mosquitoes in the room :( and there was no garbage, only garbage in the WC, there was no kettle etc.

One of the cheapest in that region. But the house keeping service was not good. I stayed 11 nights, 3 of those days someone put the don’t disturb card on my door to avoid cleaning. On the passages there was spiders nest. But other personals at the reception was very helpful and nice.

The transportation is very convenient as it is right next to The Hague Airport in the Netherlands. The price is quite affordable for the Netherlands. The bed was also quite comfortable and I slept very comfortably. The service staff is very friendly. It was a perfect accommodation experience.
