The best recommendation I can give is that if you are looking for a five-high-quality stay at moderate prices this hotel is perfect for you.
I kept asking what did we oay here perfect night, because the rooms was filled with so many good things. The bed is comfortable and the pillows are that perfect mix between hard and soft.
The shower, best we have had in two months in Europe. The sink area is very large and filled with so many toiletries we all use.
Perfect location for a tourist visiting the city.

This hotel is so close to everything in Porto, a litle stroll and you are at shops, historic buildings and coffee shops and restaurants. Yet once you inside the hotel, you dont even realize all the hussle and bussle outside. They have a nice breakfast and staff are very nice and welcoming, room cleaned everyday and a very relaxed atmosphere

Had a great stay in this perfectly located hotel. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast is worth its money! If I’ll go to Porto I definitely come back here.

We went to Porto for a few days and decided to book this hotel for its location. The location was great, right in the center of the city at walking distance from pretty much everything.
But everything was ruined due to the receptionist. Right upon our arrival, we were greeted by an out of this world scene where the receptionist was pretty much verbally harassing a young couple who had a complaint about the AC in their room. He was very condescending, his tone and facial expression was agressive. We assumed maybe his behavior was justified as we didn't know what was going on.
We checked in and we went out to visit the city. We came back to the hotel at around 10pm. The hotel's door wouldn't open, we kept ringing, nothing. We waited anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes in front of the hotel door wondering why the hotel was closed. The door then opened, we went to POLITELY ask that same receptionist why the door was closed, and were met by an obnoxious agressive response : "I wasn't here so I have to close the door". I asked if he thought normal to leave for 15 minutes and leave guests outside of the hotel, to which he replied with a smurk face "Yes, you just have to wait".
The day after, we headed out to the receptionist to let him know that we would need an invoice, he asked "Are you leaving now?", I said no in two days just wanted to let you know we would need the invoice under company name in case you need to prepare anything, he then replied "If you're not leaving now why ask for an invoice now ?"
I could keep giving examples of unprofessional encouters we've had with this person, or encounters we've witnessed this person having with other guests, but I think the image is pretty clear : the staff in this hotel will ruin your holiday vibe, it is unprofessional and wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. My wife even was anxious about the idea of getting to the hotel and finding that same receptionist. No smile, no greetings, just a frustrated agressive employee trying to ruin everyone's stay. Other staff members were helpful and professional.
This hotel is not worth the experience even if it was free.

Great location. Rooms are a little small, but clean. Staff is mostly helpful. Hotel is highly inflexible when it comes to check in time. Check in is only from 2pm to midnight. There are no options to check in late or early in the morning. If you are flying on a red eye like we did and arrive early, this hotel will make you wait until 2pm to check in even if they have vacant rooms available. I even offered to pay for an extra day so we can check in early, but they would not do it. The breakfast is average and the breakfast area is too small for the number of guests. We had to wait up to 20 to 25 minutes for a table.

Great location! And that's about it for the positives! No slippers, and around 8 PM, the reception was completely deserted and the main door was locked! Guests couldn't get back in, and those inside were locked in! It was terrifying! After waiting 15 minutes, still no one opened the door. When someone finally rushed down to open it, they didn't apologize to any of the guests and even gave us dirty looks! They didn't even explain why we were locked in! Absolutely terrible! The local staff were okay, but the European staff really lacked any service awareness.

The room was a bit dark, but the location is excellent, really close to all the main attractions, which made sightseeing very convenient. However, it was quite noisy at night, making it hard to sleep well. Overall, it was good, and the staff were very nice.

The location is perfect but I expected more from this 4 star hotel. The staff was not very friendly and helpful especially the evening staff. When we asked him questions regarding taxi to airport, all he answered was I don't know, which is disappointing. The room was ok but we heard shouting and screaming at 4am in the morning and it affected our sleep.

Pleasant hotel in the city center. Very conveniently located, close to all the main attractions in Porto. Comfortable rooms, good service, and delicious breakfasts.

The Terylene sandwich was excellent. While the roasted pork was juicy and succulent, the toasted bread was one of, if not the best I've ever had.

First rate for Portuguese food. Dealt fantastically well with my many food intolerances. Meat was succulent, having been cooked very slowly, and portions were sizable. Dessert was done to perfection: not too sweet, not too heavy, and wonderfully fruity.
