Reviews
We stayed in a studio for 9 days. That the decor is very dated (feels like a 1990s building and rooms in an area that is hip and snazzy) is still forgivable although it makes for very poor value. The only reason to be here is location, which is great.
The main issue is that the premise conducts regular pesticide fogging which technically should just affect only the exterior. We had all the windows closed to keep the cool aircon air in. However one day they decided to fog the trash chute chimney. This resulted in the pesticide fog coming out of the trash chute (located in the kitchen) and the kitchen fogged up. This got so bad it triggered the smoke alarm. My husband had to get into a smoky pesticide filled room to open the windows (even though they were still fogging outside), then stand on a chair to manually turn off the smoke detector. We were lucky that the kitchen doors were closed because otherwise the fog would get into the apartment, which would be a disaster since the none of the windows in the apartment can be opened (they have handles but are sealed shut). Worse still, this incident resulted in everything in the kitchen being coated with pesticide, including our electric toothbrushes which were charging in the kitchen because they don't have electric sockets in the bathroom. All the cups, everything that we had washed and the pots and pans were coated.
I requested the front desk to get housekeeping to come and clean the kitchen and they agreed. When we returned in the evening, it turned out that housekeeping had refused to clean the kitchen because they don't do any washing of cups, pots and pans or floor (everything not in the cupboards were clean, just had pesticide all over) during a resident's stay.
As anyone knows, pesticide is extremely toxic and should not be anywhere near items that contact the skin or mouth. So this is shocking and disappointing. Thank goodness we only had to tolerate the horrible circumstances for 2 days before leaving.
Overall this is unacceptable and I think that anybody staying in this complex needs to consider that their kitchens may be coated in toxic pesticides (unclear whether they clean an entire kitchen after every checkout) given how often fogging is conducted in Singapore.
- its old! And I mean really OLD!
- look at the pictures yourself, place is completely trashed by previous guests
- supposedly no smoking, but stinks very much opposite
- management is completely ridiculous! There was NO ELECTRICITY for 2 DAYS and you know what they responded on when we asked for at least partial discount? NO!
Special thanks to the staff for their help during our stay! In short, this is a hotel that I am very willing to give positive reviews on.
First of all, the basics are there: location is really great, room is big and clean, furnitures and facilities are not brand new but more than enough for a pleasant stay (kichenware, toilette, etc.), reception always kind and helpful, pool is a bit small but considering the location, great enough. (Maybe the ventilation in the gym room could be improved, but we didn't have to use the gym).
Secondly, we booked for a special occasion as one of our group celebrates his birthday there. The team really handled it so well and exceeded my expectations: the communication upfront, during and afterwards was excellent, the decoration and birthday gifts were with lovely thoughts and of top quality, which made the birthday celebration overseas the same standard as if at home. I want to express my special thanks and send kudos to Ace, Deon and Keith, and the big team behind which unfortunately I didn't get their names.
I definitely recommend this place to everyone, especially if you plan to stay longer (more than 7 days) with family members (3-4 persons). We will for sure return here if we come to SG again!

Only minus was that the staff would not split our bill without significant effort on our part (party of 10, split 3 ways).
Great widescreens and a very decent brunch. We drew pretty good crowds of very civil, well-behaved fans (although a bogus penalty call, a fumble or interception elicited an occasional loud yell). But the point is the staff puts up with our crew and really takes care of us. Have taken business lunches there that were quite good and reasonably prices. Also attended an excellent wine tasting event in their upstairs room which is ideal for a banquet ... dark, cozy, lots of space.
