It was our savior, since we checked in another hotel before and it was the worst ever. For a convenient price, you will get a clean room with towels (changed every 4th day, so don’t throw them on the bathroom floor on the first day). During checkin the woman at the counter started copying my entire passport (all previous visas). This was according internal hotel policy the woman mentioned. A very modest and fairly inexpensive hotel, with all the amenities and comfort for a nice city stay. The room was clean and quiet, beds and pillows were comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood. The breakfast was simple was included in the room price. Reception was very friendly and helpful. No compaints from me, will definitely return.

Clean rooms and a welcoming staff. They sold a few hand made souvenirs in the lobby which I really liked! The only thing is that you do have to do some walking to get most main attractions in the city. It was doable, just not ideal in early April weather (sleet, rain, a bit of snow).

The Cameo hotel is a bit too far away from the Winter Palace for ease of access but it isn’t too bad. The room was a good size, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very limited for western taste but better than nothing. Note, that you have to carry your own bag upstairs as they only have a dumbwaiter for luggage.
