Hotel Gorenje in Pristina

Spent 3 nights at this property.  I had spent several nights 16 years ago at this hotel.  It has kept a positive vibe and décor while a bit eclectic in spots is nice enough. If you had never stayed at the property you would be hard pressed to know how to enter the propery.  It is on the sixth floor of what is a multipurpose complex.  Mostly stores.  A bit odd but it works for the most part.  What was good.  -           Breakfast is good (quantity and quality) -           Customer service is very nice and always wanting to please. -           Free Parking -           Consistent wifi -           Free well stocked mini-bar -           Big work desk area What I did not like: -           The bathroom light is on a timer and it is annoying -           The smell of smoke from other rooms.  It is the Balkan so it is expected but wish they had no smoking floors.  It made my eyes hurt and lungs hurt as a nkn-smoker.  A big negative for me -           Hot water.  Seemed to be turned on in the morning and sink only had cold water until around 9am.  Shower was a bit better but still something not quite right. -           AC/ heat is not controlled by occupant but centrally controlled which I did not like. I was cold 2 of the 3 days because central heat was turned off.  Saving grace was a space heater. -           Key card issues.  Every day had to get my key card reestablished as it would stop opening my door. -           They put rooms in place of the nice restaurant they used to have on 6th floor.  The views from the restaurant were amazing.  Probably because the rooms will achieve better ROI. Overall. Customer service was super friendly and can’t say enough good things about them.  The proce point was good.  The included mini bar was very nice.  However, the smoke filled room from other rooms as a non smoker is a deal breaker.  I would have to really evaluate the situation again to stay here despite the good points.

Nice restaurant on floor 7. Nice view. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good food and Coffee. Reasonable prices. Nice portions. Good service.
