The Recenz Dongdaemun Hotel in Seoul

The room hygiene was terrible. The sheets and duvet cover had unknown liquid stains and marks. I spoke to the front desk that evening to request a change, but they were uncooperative and refused, claiming these were normal signs of use! They insisted I had to wait until the cleaning staff arrived the next day, and there wasn't even an apology. I had to grit my teeth and sleep in that dirty room for a night!

Thankfully, Trip.com customer service stepped in to help mediate and escalate the issue to the hotel management the next day, which led to some improvement. However, my stay experience at this hotel was truly awful. I won't be booking it again, and I advise everyone else to steer clear.

The hotel breakfast had very few dishes and tasted bad (only what's shown in the picture). The restaurant opened from 7-9 AM. I arrived at 7:30 AM, and all the food was already cold, so I could only eat cold dishes. (Although the pots under the dishes had a warming function, they didn't have lids, so the food was all cold.) Furthermore, at 8:30 AM, with half an hour left before closing, the restaurant staff started clearing plates. There was still milk left, but I couldn't get any as it was cleared away prematurely. Ten minutes before closing, they even started broadcasting to rush people out (not reminding guests to finish up, but directly telling them to leave).
