Hotel the Designers Cheongnyangni in Seoul

DO NOT STAY HERE.

This hotel felt like a cheap motel, not a proper hotel. The room had no real window—there was technically a window, but it only faced a wall, so there was no light or ventilation. The floor was clearly not clean, and the overall condition of the room was very poor.

The cleanliness was the worst part. The bed sheets and linens had visible stains, and I could not sleep knowing the bed was dirty. Interior design doesn’t matter to me, but clean bedding is the absolute minimum, and this place failed completely.

I asked the staff to change rooms. They showed me another room, but it was exactly the same, with no improvement. I then requested a partial refund, but they repeatedly refused. For three days, the staff kept telling me only about their “no refund policy” and took no responsibility for the condition of the room.

There was no real response, no solution, and no accountability.

The staff’s attitude was dismissive and unhelpful throughout. I didn’t even have time to take photos because I was busy trying to resolve the issue, and eventually I left immediately because I could not stay there any longer.

This hotel is absolutely not worth the money. It was one of the most stressful travel experiences I’ve had.
I strongly recommend avoiding this place.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

The hygiene and cleanliness were completely unacceptable:
• The floor was sticky and dirty, clearly not cleaned.
• The bed sheets and linens had stains.
• While showering, I even found a false eyelash, and there was a fly on the candle.

We immediately reported these issues to the hotel, but the staff’s attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of taking our concerns seriously, they acted as if it was not important.

The situation was so bad that we had to check out in the middle of the night and urgently find another place to stay. The hotel later agreed to refund the remaining nights, which shows they were aware of how unacceptable the conditions were.

I cannot believe a hotel with such terrible hygiene and service is still listed on Trip.com. Please do yourself a favor and avoid booking this property — it is absolutely not worth the money, and it was one of the most stressful travel experiences I’ve had.

Not a comfortable stay. Dented furniture, sofa covered in dust and front desk not friendly. But bedsheets and bathroom are clean. Location is convenient. Airport bus available. The standard is much lower compared to other hotels under the same chain. Would not recommend.
