Cube Guesthouse in Seoul

I did NOT intend to stay in a party town. Lots of cigarette smokers and bars. I guess that is my fault for not researching thoroughly, however I did read there was hiking. Hiking in the US means nature. There is no nature here. It is a neighborhood on a steep hill. It just so happened that it snowed the day I got there, and I had to navigate up and down a snowy, icy hill. Not safe.
When I arrived almost at the deadline of 11pm (First time in Korea and I was lost in the train stations), the host was upset that I didn't ring the doorbell. I didn't feel like waking people up, nor waiting outside in the cold. The host grabbed my things and was pushy about it. He did this a couple of times during my stay. It is very off-setting. There is at least one review where he pissed off a female guest for doing this. I understand her perspective. I think his intentions are good, but I don't know the man? He did give me an apple and cookies after checking in.
The bed is not good. It's not flat. I will say that I did NOT have any back pain from it though. The room is cold. Surprisingly, considering the neighborhood, most of the nights were quiet. Now, there was at least one night where the person above me was snoring. I think this goes with the territory, in that you are going to encounter young people who party in the neighborhood and crash at the place nearby. Not my idea of a good stay.
The heated floor is excellent. The kitchen is vast and open. There is a nice water dispenser. The owner did give me an adapter to charge my phone as mine would not fit on his outlet/plug. Underneath the bed was filthy.
The bathroom setup needs to be improved. There is NO shower curtain, so people who don't pay attention or have no consideration, spray water all over the toilet. And they walk all over the floor getting it wet. ALSO, the bathroom sink has some kind of leak where when you turn it on it leaks and gets the bathroom floor all wet. There are female clogs to wear to avoid this, but they are small, plastic and very uncomfortable. Get some decent male slippers for the bathroom.

If you have heavy luggage, this place might not be suitable because you'll have to carry it up stairs. The accommodation is located on a high hill with a staircase leading up to it. It's not far, but it's difficult when carrying luggage. At night, this area is an entertainment district with pubs and bars. Once you go up the hill to the accommodation, it feels a bit isolated, quiet, and a little scary.

The place is good however the person running this place is very weird. I had slippers for the shower and I had put them under the bed so they werent in the way. He litteraly took them without telling me. I thought Iblost them until I asked him. There was no reason to take them and he was very reluctant to give them back.
