If I was young, I wouldn't have cared about the smell of mold or sewage in the room, about the fact that I don't feel safe when I come from the city in the evening, or about questionable cleanliness. Now I had some minimal expectations related to cleanliness and hygiene that were not met.

**** If the building code doesn't have 6 digits it's wrong****
I would rate zero if i could. Federico sent me the wrong code for the building so I ended up punching in the wrong code over and over trying different options thinking I was stupid. I emailed him telling him of my situation but received no reply for about an hour and 30 min on top of trying the combo over and over while getting locked out and having to retry the code ever 5 minutes. I waited at least 3hrs altogether trying to get in.
I gave up my hopes on getting in and stayed at the Orangine Hotel. I would rather spend 20 extra euro than a nightmare like the one I experienced.
I ended up emailing Federico about a refund request but have yet to hear back.

I would rate this hotel zero stars if I could. Hotel cancelled my reservation on the day of check in without notifying me. Booked room and received confirmation several weeks ago, reached out to the hotel the day before check in to confirm and recieved no response, reached out the day of check in and the message showed that it had been read by hotel but received no response (he ignored it), called multiple times before I finally got through and was notified that the hotel was fully booked and had no reservation under my name. Expedia contacted the hotel owner who said he must have missed an email or something and had no availability. I have spent hours on my vacation dealing with this only to find I have no place to stay tonight.

Avoid this hotel at all costs if you value your time, I didn't find out until 4pm on the day of check in that I had no place to stay that night in Barcelona. Probably for the best since multiple reviews mentioned sewage smell in the rooms and similar check in issues.

Because of the missing reception you need to use a code but some guests are not used with so they knock strongly on the door in the night. Also, you xan hear the noise from the near room. The window fron the room was front of one lil' garden that smells horrible and you cannot open it because of this. No cleaning service during 4 nights. Too bad.. They could improve that. Small rooms but ok.
