I’d choose a big room & travel to the main street via subway than staying in the busy streets

But we still spent a few days lying in a smelly room (with the window open in freezing weather) until my fever broke and we checked out! And this was during Christmas! Facilities: Poor Service: Bureaucratic, process-driven, pretentious, and a waste of time

The central location is also a big win, right in the heart of the city and perfect for getting around. That said, the hotel itself feels noticeably tired

Le Méridien Barcelona is a bit of a mixed bag. On the plus side, the service is genuinely lovely - warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay

close to the attractions and market metro etc. the walls are thin tho, I got my ear plugs so it was fine. They have dry and stram sauna on the 6th floor, used it every night. small but super clean and quiet

you may need to bring a swimsuit tho, if not, you can just wrap around with a big towel. the shower booth was so satisfying as the water pressure was strong and spacious with two water source (rainfall and from the hose)

Location, location, location, that's the great thing about this hotel. Well connected to the airport and other major attractions. You can also catch a train to Madrid from the station located just below the hotel

Chatting with the staff here was such a pleasure; their warm smiles are truly a benchmark for excellent service. The check-in process was incredibly convenient and smooth

The room comfortable, the only downside was the shampoo/soap dispenser in the shower was empty, this was reported to reception before leaving for the day and on our return that evening it was still empty

Right next to the train station, literally a stone's throw away, which is super convenient if you have luggage. It's about 2 kilometers from the main tourist spots, so you'll need to take the subway

The room was spacious and right by the train station. There's a McDonald's downstairs and a Carrefour nearby. We chose this place because we had an early morning train to Granada

It's a bit far from the main attractions, but the subway is convenient, and there's a machine at the station to buy public transport cards, which was really helpful

They offered to switch our room, but after checking another one, the temperature seemed about the same, so we didn't bother. They did provide us with extra blankets, haha, so we weren't cold at night

If you're on a business trip, getting to the city center will take some time

This is a superb hotel; both the facilities and cleanliness are top-notch. Compared to other hotels, it offers fantastic value for money! The Sagrada Familia is also conveniently located, just 4km away

Their desserts were also fantastic; the chocolate brownie, which I usually avoid, looked unassuming but was so good I ordered a second one after finishing the first!

The honey-glazed cod, grilled shell-on red prawns, shrimp and scallop skewers, and a €2. 20 fried, croquette-like item were all incredibly delicious

We rented bicycles right outside the hotel and enjoyed a smooth, pleasant ride all the way there for our visit – it was a wonderful experience

On our first night, returning late by bus, we had a rather unsettling experience witnessing someone smashing a car. Because of this, I'd strongly advise guests to try and head back earlier in the evenings
